New book (mainly Canadian) about Retirement Planning

Hi everyone,

When I visited the library the other day, I saw a new book, "New Rules of Retirement: What Your Financial Advisor Isn't Telling You" (2008) by Warren A. Mackenzie and Ken Hawkins, Collins Publishers of Harper and Collins. It seems to be popular: 7 day loan, no holds or renewal, penalty for overdue $2./day (usually 3 weeks for books, 15 cents/day).

Most financial agencies hire financial advisors as sales people, and many have little or no training or experience at financial ... or retirement, for that matter ... planning.

Many have compensation systems that depend partially, sometimes entirely, on how many financial products that they sell.

I wrote a thread over on "Retirement", and enclose a link.

Only a short way through it ... but like its approach.

Good wishes for increasingly shrewd management of your income ... and assets.

And making a retirement plan ... early in life: the earlier, the better.
