Do I need a filler b/w full-overlay pantry & counterdepth fridge?

We are finalizing plans and are trying to decide if we need a filler between a tall pantry (with full-overlay doors) and a counterdepth KA french door refrigerator. My concern is that we will need to open the pantry doors beyond 90 degrees to be able to comfortably use the pull-out trays (and avoid scratching the inside of the door with each use.) Our KD suggests holding back the pantry doors about 3/4 in on the side adjacent to the fridge, to keep the appearance of symmetry with the 3/4 in panel that we'll have on the "open" side of the fridge. This will allow us to open the pantry doors just beyond 90 degrees.

I'm wondering if we need more than that for comfortable access to the pantry. Any advice you can offer would be highly valued (especially forum users who may have the KA CD FD fridge next to a pantry cabinet!)

Here's a 3D rendering of the area in question:

Thanks again to all my GW advisors!
