Please help me love my Bosch dishwasher...
Comments (104)My Kude60 Kitchen Aid arrived today! OMG... I know I could just be doing a self fulfilling prophecy thing here but let me tell you - The drawers are totally gliding, like they're on Ice, no side to side shuffle to get them out! And they do the up and down thing like an elevator with the push of a button. Am I too happy to see my Bosch leaving? I can't remember, I didn't even wave as the technician strapped it like Hannibal Lector to the dolly and wheeled it out! Me and the KUDE60 are going to be best friends...I can just feel it. But then, if this is the excitment of my day, what kind of review can you really trust me with? LOL I will let you know. Thanks again for the tip, Monicakm!!! Here is a link that might be useful: Here it is the KUDE60...See MoreBosch Dishwasher Feedback & Concerns
Comments (13)Data is what you've been getting above before your second post. Homeowners telling you that they use jetdry and their plastics come out damp (eandhl & paddy) to somewhat damp (lightly starched and then me). Effiemyrtle added her level on satisfaction on the dry plastics debate after your post. To this extent, this is all the data you're going to get in an anonymous, blind, unregulated forum, consequently, I still don't understand what you're hoping to get from your post. There are so many variables that govern drying performance - water conditions, jet-dry setting being just a couple of the variables. I will tell you that the majority of people who have reported being delighted with their european DWs are that way because they are taken with the fantastic WASHING performance as even quite messy dishes come out excellently clean. The quiet while doing so is the other big appeal. These are the two distinguishing characteristics. You're just not going to find people euphoric about the DWs drying results - we are all generally more than satisfied with that but we are thrilled with how reliably clean the DW turns up. Allow me to summarize what has been reported on this site on DWs: Most folks do use jetdry. Most folks for whom bone dry is a preference purchase domestic DW that does have a heated dry. Most folks with a bosch/miele/asko dw deal with the water that's left and don't find it too cumbersome. Some people really hate the dishwashers that they have bought (including the domestics GE, KA, WP etc.). ;-)...See MoreBosch 500 or Bosch Benchmark dishwasher
Comments (14)For me, the folding tines and loading options were significant. Serving pieces and parger bowls, mixing bowls typically need something to give to fit properly. I don't plan to use the water softener (might be a big deal if you have hard water though). and the interior light on the Benchmark (8 or 9, not on the 7) is not a big deal to me, but DH wanted the quietest possible. I needed a panel ready DW. Otherwise, I might have done the 800 series I saw at Best Buy, Lowes and elsewhere for $1079. It has most of the same features as a Benchmark in a stainless front. I don't know where you were shopping, but there are more models than any one place displays. I had to drive across town to find a Benchmark to look at, One place had nothing but a 500 series and a Thermador. Talk about a huge gap! Anyway, I think the 500 series is the right place to start looking and then go up if needed for the features you need....See Moreolder bosch dishwasher not cleaning dishes
Comments (4)It could be a lot of things. Have you had the dishwasher from new? Changed detergents or rinse aid recently? Or did the manufacturer make the detergent or rinse aid "new and improved"? Are the filters on the bottom clear? Checked the discharge hose to make sure it's not blocked or collapsed on itself? Does your locality require an airgap? The more info the better. :-)...See MoreUser
