When buying an old house would you keep...

I am getting ready to make an offer on a house (3rd time? 4th time?), and its a beautiful house. I may have a chance because he will not sell to someone who plans a gut rehab.

One room has windows 3-4 *old* stained glass windows of a religious/allegorical nature installed over the interior of the actual exterior sash, most of the rooms have 40 year old federal style window treatments. (it's a Greek Revival house).

I would like to keep these elements. (unless the textile is literally falling apart).

Would you keep elements like this from a previous owner's occupancy? I am just curious.
