Good morning ms minnamouse, tominnh is exactly right about the tons of information you will find in this forum regarding the Harbor Freight greenhouses. Lots of important reading here. Our 10x12 HFGH has been up for about 2 1/2 years now, and I enjoy it greatly. However, I personally think they're only practical in most locations if you have the time and energy to make some important modifications for strength and wind resistance, to avoid the problem of panels blowing out, as Tom mentioned. I love my Sea Foam! I grow it as a short climber a few feet away from my Ramblin Red so I attach it to the wire that RR is attached to on the back of my house. I love the deep green foliage. It blooms it's head off all summer. Even with part of the plant in shade, due to a rose in front of it, no lower leaves are lost. It has never gotten black spot or mildew for me. I saw a pic of this rose in a book planted next to a tree with a big trunk so in some shade and I loved it. I think this rose would be so lovely as a short climber on a piece of a antique iron railing against a fence....just me dreaming. I think it would brighten up a dull place or give some contrast to another climber. Or put it in the back of a bed and let it grow like an octopus through other perennials like catmint. I struggled with this exact same dilema. Most of the two tone kitchens have light perimeter and dark island. The style of my house and surrounding furniture does not really support the look of so much light cabinetry. But I also didn't want an all dark cabinet kitchen. I began searching desperately for pictures in magazines and as I looked I began to find a few and they were beautiful! Then Sharon1 posted pictures of her kitchen and she had the exact same color scheme I had just ordered and I thought it was gorgeous! It was a huge load off my back. My perimeter is a dark stain rustic beech and my island is a creamy glaze. I haven't picked countertops yet - I don't know what I want to do yet. I think the reason you see my light perimeters is that it keeps the kitchen light and airy and a dark island looks more like a piece of furniture. Flipping it is less common, but it is still beautiful. I wish I had pictures, but I'm a DIY project under construction! :-) I also searched for Sharon1 and all her pictures fell of the forum, which is a bummer. I couldn't find her in the FKB either - she must not have posted there. I'm sorry to not be more help visually. But hopefully I've reassured you that many of us have done the very color scheme you are considering!
