So glad you posted this. I will have to see if it is available here in Austin yet as I've been wanting something that looks like white marble (but is tougher) for my bathrooms. I'll post a picture if they have anything larger than one of those tiny little tiles that I can look at. Even if all they have is a tiny tile, I'll try to let you know whether I think it looks similar enough to white marble to "pass" or just looks sort of cheesy. I'm using Silestone in the Amarillo Palmira color in my kitchen and will probably stick with that there b/c I don't think DH would like white countertops in the kitchen. this one might be best fulfilled by one of the hundred competitors to silestone and caesarstone. Search the web for quartz (once you figure out what the right keywords are) and you'll come across names that no-one in GW forums ever talk about. Cimstone, Seieffe, Hanstone, etc. MAny more. Then, go to those companies web sites, look at the list of distributors, or email them and get names of distributors. i did this. Once you've seen a half dozen you've seen them all, and by then it'll be easier to figure out from the little web photos which ones you really want to see. Then you call the tollfree number and ask them to mail you a sample. Then...

Just to add my 2 cents: I have Vermont Danby marble for about 8 months now and have no stains on it. I use my kitchen all the time--tomatoes, vinegar, berries, wine, coffee, tea, etc. etc. and it is still the same color as the day it was installed. The sealers are wonderful and because the stone is indeed very dense it doesn't absorb stains. It does however etch, so if that would bother you, you should go with quartzite or engineered quartz. The beauty of the stone is unsurpassed in my opinion and I don't regret my decision one bit.

i live in a victorian in boston. and i'm just wrapping up a renovation. white shakers cabs, stainless appliances, white subway tile. i always wanted black counters. but fell in love with marble. i went to gerrity stone, and now i have wicked white on the island and honed AB on the perimeter. i couldn't be happier. and i also think the WW would look good throughout. as would the AB
