Freezing chicken and dumplings?

Hi all! I had a question or two about freezing leftover chicken and dumplings. I'll be boiling a whole chicken with veggies, then deboning(?) After that, adding canned biscuits to the broth until they cook down a little. Then returning the chicken and veggies to the pot.

My questions:

1. Does it freeze well?

2. Are there any special preps when thawing and recooking?

Y'all are a bunch of wonderful cooks, so I figured someone here would know. Thanks for any help :)
