I don't know if the burgundy color in the bedding would take nicely to a warm terra cotta.

Any advice??????

My first thought was go with the green....i too think the burgundy and reds wont look well together. I would try to pick up the green in the bedding, or stay with the neutral color.

so go with maybe a green shade that's in the comforter, or go with like a light khaki?

What a pretty set! It would be gorgeous with green walls in the shade that's on the corner of the tasseled pillow. It would still be bold, but not clash like a terra cotta would. The darker gold color that's on the tassels would be lovely too.

I would wait until I had the comforter on my bed to make a decision. If you notice from the two pictures, it looks very different depending on what the seller put it with - green blankets or burgundy blankets.

When you get the comforter put it on the bed and stand at the entrance. What color do you see first? If you want a soft harmonious look go with the color you see from across the room. You can also do this with your paint chips. Stand across the room hold a paint chip at arms length against the fabric and close one eye.

Sometimes if you pick an accent color out of the fabric to use for paint there is so little of that color in the fabric that the color on the wall screams at you instead of acting like a nice quiet background.

no dont do the red color. i agree the green or gold would look great!!but im more leaning towards the green. i am painting my mbrm a pineneedle green by eddie bauer form lowes. it isnt really pine needle to me-more of a greyish green

Lurker here, I just painted Valspar Burnt Umber and LOVE it!
This pic was taken at night and it looks more terra cotta during the day.

SW Henna Shade might work well. It is a bit less orange, but not quite pink.

Try samples of Farrow and Ball Fowler Pink and SW Jogging Path (green-tinged khaki).

SW Roycroft Adobe is a great reddish-terra-cotta that's almost burgundy.

I think the terracotta would be so beautiful, warm and cosy. Did you get the solid burgandy pieces also, or only the floral Comfort? Please consider the option of color on the ceiling rather than white. That also helps the color you like reflect throughout the room. nodakgal, your walls are beautiful, and I can see that comfort in your colors. Wish I had Photoshop!!!!!!!!!
