so it sounds like putting a tablespoon in a quart of water would probably be about right for ya. Just mix it up for a day or two and then use it all up. Probably not worth the trouble to make aerated worm tea unless you have an extra air pump and air stone begging to be used. In which case a quart of water the table spoon of castings and and perhaps just a dribble of sugary stuff. Make sure it is in a big enough container that it doesn't bubble over and use it up in a day or two also. Personally, I'd probably just top dress the plants with the castings. If worried about the worms eating up all the organic matter in the containers, just regularly top dress the containers with organic matter as well like crumbled up leaves, corn meal, wood chips, shredded cardboard, whatever seems appropriate to you.

Hi Bakio, I understand your frustration. We live on St. John in the Virgin Islands and my husband was an industrial designer in his professional life. We are building a hillside home at 680 feet above sea level. I am also using a indoor chandelier in our covered patio above our dining table. My husband can be counted on to find a million objections to half of the design ideas I have. Fortunately he is very bright and creative and can usually come up with a solution to my idea.He thinks we can rewire the fixture using new UV resistant outdoor rated wire. On the socket where you would normally wrap the wire he would use a sodered on connection and use a heat shrink tubing on the connection to help seal out the moisture. Be sure to use a GFI receptacle so if it does short out it won't cause a fire. Make it a plug-in so in the case of a bad storm you can unplug it and take it inside. My chandelier has shades and I am planning ot wrap the frames with some type of vinyl cording and make sunbrella fabric shades for it that will be machine washable. I haven't been able to open your picture but it sounds wonderful. Go for it!

Bestyears, I'm glad you liked the link! I was actually looking for supplies when I run across that site on google and was surprised at all their fabrics. Les, Outdoor fabric is a really good idea! They seem to lend themselves to being more graphic and colorful. I did come across some outdoor fabric by Robert Allen .. I think it was in his Beacon Hill group. It looks like it might only be open to the trades though, although I'm still trying to trace a source. Sally, I have thought about going solid on the sofa and then bringing in patterens with pillows. I've also thought about mixing solids and patterns on the sofa in a way that it would make matching the fabrics easier for me. Since I'm going for a kind of funky, cottage look I think I could get away with that okay. Clt3 .. thank you for the link and help!

Have you checked out Joann's? Waverly has indoor/outdoor fabric on there called sundial that's similar (though not sure if it's in the same colors). Right now it's 50% off, too, so you may be able to find something that will work for a better price. It gets a good review, too (though it's only one...)
