Cross-country moving tips with big dogs?

Now that our house is sold, we're moving cross-country with three big dogs and a cat. I'm flying the cat out first, in the cabin of the plane, and we're driving the dogs out. They're golden retrievers so pretty big. We have an Expedition so there's lots of room.

Our move itself is being handled by the relo company that my husband's new company is paying for. They do all the packing and moving. They already assessed our house and made notes on everything. So we don't have to move actual household goods other than basic luggage.

Does anyone have any moving tips for moving with my dogs cross-country? We're hoping to drive 500 miles a day (it's a 2,000 mile trip.) Is that reasonable with dogs? I've done the cross-country move before, but never with pets. I'm a tad anxious. I looked up hotels on dogfriendly.com and that seems like it will be a big help. But will most of those hotels accept THREE dogs? I'm worried!

Thanks!
