New Caesarstone Frosty Carrina & London Gray light marble looks
Comments (120)Dianne, I have quartz (not Caesarstone, they were out of my choice at the time) in my bathroom; looks new 2 years later. Online, you will find many cons or negatives about most any product you are considering buying. I wouldn't let that hinder you, as that's usually the minority. Caesarstone has a warranty. I will be buying either London Grey or Organic White in the next two weeks for my kitchen reno, but I love real marble. This is a happy compromise. Check with the company you are buying and ask if they've had any issues with Caesarstone. I asked the appliance company about Thermador vs. Viking and they gave me their opinion based on what they service the least. Good luck!...See MoreBacksplash with Dark Cabinets & Caesarstone London Grey
Comments (13)NAN95: Thank you for your suggestion. I too prefer the white subway tile with a lighter grout color, but I'm worried about the upkeep. I use turmeric in cooking frequently and it stains everything yellow :( I had splatters on kitchen wall in my old kitchen (luckily the walls were already painted yellow) so am worried about the staining. I have seen those amazing white on white back-splash tiles on Houzz! They look beautiful! Do you think if I seal the grout, it would be stain-free? Sarina: The kitchen is nearly done now :) We're missing countertops, back splash, hardware on cabinets. I agonized over the counter-top and the back splash the most! I was considering Frosty Carrina, but after seeing a sample of the London Grey I fell in love with it. I hope it will look calm, as you said, especially with dark cabinets! I try to post some pictures tomorrow....See MoreFrosty Carrina or London Grey
Comments (22)I'll tell you that I just got quotes from 2 fabricators for "typical" or builder's grade granite, Bianco Antico granite, and silestone quartz Alpina White and the quartz was A LOT more expensive. For 37 sq foot of countertop: One place: Typical Granite: $2,390 Bianco Antico: $2,700 Silestone Alpina White: $3,775 Another place: Builder's Grade Granite: $1,502 Silestone Alpina White: $3,238 One of the fabricators told me the reason my Silestone choice was so high was because the color I picked was only available in a Jumbo Slab, which was more quartz than I needed, but he had to buy the whole thing. Quartz is available in regular and jumbo slabs and some colors may only be offered in one size, not both. So, I think I will be going to look at granite slabs the next free day I have. Good luck with finding your choices!...See MoreCounter choices - Raven, Frosty Carrina, Piatra Gray
Comments (19)Thanks farmhousebound and raee! Of the 3 new ones, I'm leaning towards the FC - one reason being, I need a countertop for my guestbath vanity* and there would be enough left from the kitchen to do the vanity top. But I am wondering if it looks to creamy against the white of the cabinets. I do want to warm up the ktichen a little as my cabs lean more towards a crisp white. No one has commented that doesn't look good with the cab white so maybe it's ok. I'm having such a hard time picturing the white/white with the rest of the space. Ugh! (*I really like Organic White better for the guest bath, but I am also try to save some $, and thinking FC would suffice.) Otherwise, it'll probably be Raven....See Morelzhwong
