We got those sugar eggs, too. I also remember little pastel colored fuzzy chicks with legs made out of pipe cleaners or something like that. Don't know if they still have those or not. No little ones to buy for anymore :-( So enjoy!

I'm determined to find those fuzzy chicks this year. The real fluffy ones, fake of course.

Every year we got those marshmallow bunnies, Peeps I think they're called and I hated them.

You found an "Easter" isle at Target? I was there a week ago looking also and they had a few bags of candy but nothing like the area they have set up in the past. I was very confused. Maybe they are phasing out "Easter"?

No "Easter" aisle at Target. But check out the Dollar Bins near the store entrance. They have Easter coloring books and baskets, critters, bubbles, chalk, crayons, etc for $1 each. (Some are over priced at that in all honesty.) Then go to the toy department, and there I found whil-a-gigs, cars, balls, dinosaurs, etc for a dollar or two among all the more expensive toys.

I loved those sugar eggs with the scene inside. I think those are responsible for my love of miniatures.

I too saw the dollar Easter themed items, but I still think it is odd they don't have baskets/grass etc. I think Target had those sugar eggs last year. As I recall the scene inside was pretty sad. Nothing like back in the day..

Sheila, I had forgotten about the bird water whistles. It was either the late 40's or early 50's when we would play with those. Would love to get some for my grands. That and kaleidoscopes are what I remember for Easter and also Christmas.

I bought grass at Michaels when I went for some yarn. And my lucky grandsons have their other Grammy who is an artist, so she has painted them special baskets.
