Lux Jeri, After attending the Old Rose Celebration for several years ( I live within 7 miles of Moeser Lane) I've noticed that all the remontant O.G.R's are pretty much all sold within one hour of opening. In 2012 I took a complete inventory that showed this was true, by running around and writing down the; -number of every pot of rose, by class name - still available for sale -at every vendor. -at noon. I believe more Old Garden Roses would be sold, and the buying public would be happy, if vendors increased by c. 25% the remontant O.G.R.s they bring for sale. In 2012 at 12:15 P.M the only remontant Old Rose left was a 'Marie Pavie' that I bought, and at the same tabe there were several assorted bands of Hybrid Musk cultivars, , and, at the vintage gardens table, dozens of bands of H.T.s and Florries, and several L.F.C's , There were more than a dozen cultivars of Ramblers which remained on the vintage gardens table when I left around 3 p.m.. One vendor near the entrance had several gallon pots of a modern Florabunda available at 3.p.m. as well. I believe this shows that it is the remontant Old Garden Roses that sell best, at this event. Getting there early will not solve the issue, as there is a limited number of remontant O.G.R.s to be bought, the vendors need to increase their inventory of remontant classes of O.G.R.s at the Old Rose Celebration. . I hope my efforts do some good. If you'd like to pass on this information, to anyone who could make a difference I'd be so grateful. I took the inventories because I have an interest in the promotion of Old Garden Roses If I were a vendor I'd increase the number of pots of remontant Old Garden Roses by 20 % to 25% this year. Trump put Omarosa on the show for one reason, and one reason only -- ratings. Each season of The Apprentice had gone steadily downhill in ratings, and ratings were in the gutter for the season that took place in Los Angeles. NBC had canceled the show. The ONLY reason it was brought back is because it's a celebrity version and viewers always like seeing celebs "in real life;" that is, not acting a role. So, NBC agreed to give the show another shot, but Trump knew that it could be totally yanked mid-season, just as that "Pirate Treasure" show had been. So, to ensure that folks would watch, Trump brought back Omarosa because he knows the public hates her and would tune in for no other reason than to see her get her "come upins." And we keep tuning in because she's still there and we want so desperately to see her get gobsmacked into a mudpuddle.

I found myself wishing that Piers would have let loose on Omarosa -- making ugly comments about her and her husband, like she was doing about his family. He could have come up with some zingers about how incredibly proud (not!) her husband must be that she's showing the world what a crackpot he must be for having married her; that she had to get her boobs done to keep her husband interested, etc. She can dish it out, but I sincerely doubt that she can take it. I would love, love, love to see someone make her cry. And a comment about Donald Trump "breaking the rules" to not fire someone in the boardroom... There was more than one occasion when he fired more than one person during the boardroom confrontations, and I think there was a time when he fired THREE (I seem to recall the three folks all being crammed into the back seat of the cab). So, he very easily could have fired Omarosa even though she was on the winning team.

"I had felt all along that Carol would end up being hired. I think she wanted the job badly, and the only one that had the "look"." Trump isn't going to hire any of them to work in his organization. That's not the point of this version of the show. The whole purpose of the show is to raise money for charity. Each celebrity has his/her own favorite charity for which they are trying to raise money. Each week, only the winning project manager got the money for his/her charity. The others, even those on the winning team, got nothing. And now that it's down to the final two, Piers and Trace, whomever Trump deems to be the winner will get some big bucks for their charity. I, too, like Piers. People react badly to him and his bluntness, just as they react badly to Simon Cowell on American Idol. But Simon is the only one of the three judges who tells the truth to those poor kids. And, as Simon has said, the entertainment industry is incredibly cruel, and if these kids can't take what he dishes out, they'll never make it in the business. Piers also tells it like it is, and he has an innate ability to see through to the central point of things. An example -- the two finalists had to choose from a list of items to be auctioned; as well as come up with additional auction items. The very first item that Trace wanted for "his" auction is a guitar. He's going to try to get a bunch of other country stars to come to the event, and will have all of them autograph the guitar. The very first item that Piers wanted for "his" auction was the shopping trip with Ivanka. I'm not sure of the details of it, but from the photos that were shown, it appeared that the winner of that item will also receive some jewelry or fashion items. Now, they're in New York, not Nashville. Yes, there were quite a few folks during the previous weeks' challenges who recognized Trace and who are fans. But I'm willing to bet that there are far more folks in New York who are fans of shopping at all the best places than there are fans of country music. And I don't think we've been told (yet) what else, if anything, Trace is adding to his auction items, but we know that Piers contacted Fergie, the Duchess of York, who is donating a set of Wedgewood china AND the opportunity to have tea with her. There are a lot of "pinkies up" high society women in New York who would love to have high tea with the Duchess of York. Piers immediately wanted auction items that will appeal to the largest number of New Yorkers. Trace immediately wanted auction items that appeal to him, as a musician. I adore Trace. As has already been said, he's such a gentleman, and throughout this entire "game" he has come up with some great ideas and slogans. But he's too laid back, and not "hungry" enough to fight for the win. ...
