Anyone watch Man vs Food?

Been watching this afternoon, and on one challenge he drank a 6 lb milkshake and a l lb sandwich.

And he finished.

Last one, he was in Hawaii, eating 4 lbs of blueberry pancakes and lost.

He calls them MEGA MEALS!

I don't see how he's still living eating that enormous amt and he's not that big.

That guy is crazy eating like that. We saw the one with the milkshake and sandwich.

He must purge after eating all that. Don't see how he could digest it all.

Marilyn, trying to research online the effects of phosphorus on seeds made my head bizzy and I didn't get very far. My personal theory, based on mostly what I know of corn, grass and soybean production and the like would be that large doses of Phosphorus would increase blossoms at the expense of decreased seed. I don't think it would stop seed production, just set it back. My other personal theory is that some fertilizer being helpful doesn't mean three times as much is necessarily better than just enough. Right now while it's so dry here, I'm thinking how easy it would be to completely burn up every annual in the garden with a big dose of Nitrogen without adequate water. Nell Oh yeah, for increased seed production (more beans?), you'd use a fertilizer with more Potassium, like 5-10-15 -- or a careful dose of wood ashes. Fertilizer 'speriments would make a good science project, wouldn't they?

We have few wing places around me that have wing "challanges" (one where you have to sign a waiver). Some of them are 3 wings, some 5 wings, and some 6 wings challenges. I donÃ¢ÂÂt even bother with the challenges anymore. I order twelve of them every time I go. It never fails, when I order, the waitress always looks at me like I am nuts and then says Ã¢ÂÂgood luck with thatÃ¢ÂÂ when she brings me my food lol. Clean my plate every time.

kroer2016 I'm thinking that the furniture and accessories is available for purchase by the homeowners, but it really is just for staging. I agree about the budget. It always ends up that they misquote because they conveniently find something major wrong. I would never agree to such a purchase without a home inspection and knowing ALL the details possible up front. ******************************************************** Yes, the finished hse is staged for the show and HO's can purchase the items if they chose. If Jo commissions something from a vendor like Clint, that is a gift from FU Curious, other than a piece of furniture, does anybody know what the HO's appearing on the show get financially? On HH Reno, they get $25,000 towards the reno. I'll bet dollars to donuts the home has been inspected and any issues that come up are reality show drama. As an aside - do you notice how often they say 'You know'?

The host of the show is Mike Greenberg. He, along with Mike Golic (a former football player), host a morning talk show on ESPN, Mike and Mike in the Morning. Since DH is addicted to ESPN, I've grown to really like Mike Greenberg, (known as Greeny on ESPN) but I'm not sure why he was chosen to be the host of Duel. While I do think he's doing an OK job, I agree with socks12345 that there are FAR too many commercials. I have stopped watching The Price is Right because I think Drew Carey is awful. I like Jeff Foxworthy on "Are You Smarter thean a Fifth Grader". 1vs100 is supposed to be on again, starting either next week or the week after. I watched that episode today. Grosses me out too, but I can't look away! I'd love to know what his cholesteral level is.

I like Adam and the show. I could live without some of the challenges as it's just too much and he looks like he's going to be sick. Or the super spicy things he can eat. He must have an iron stomach. But he is a cutie! I bet the rest of the time he eats a fairly normal diet.

As much as I love food, those competitive eating contests gross me out! Strange thing is some of those competitive eaters (Adam is not one) are SMALL! Not sure how after eating 50 hot dogs etc! I don't eat 50 dogs in a year much less a day!

They shouldn't be allowed to have those kinds of shows or contests.

Didn't a lady die from trying to eat 50 hotdogs or something?

Plus with obesity so high in our society, its encouraging people to gorge on that amount of food.

Watching people glut themselves isn't on my agenda. Food is something to be savored. I'm guilty of eating too fast but I don't stuff my face and don't care to watch people that do.

I've seen him eat a 3lb steak with all thr gristle. Uck! . He says "I'm not a competitive professional eater, just a guy with a big appetite."
