Hope i get to finish this post. Am having big problems with my MSN2 and it freezes up on me before i finish writing. Hav got a new one,and DD is going to help me set it up. We did'nt get a freeze up here and my petunias are blooming away. A friends mother finished picking her second crop of butterbeans thursday.She's down around Clarksville. Than 15 miles east was a heavy frost and everything was killed. Deer season started today and the idiots are out among the responsible hunters. We have a good bunch close to us but alongthe Mulberry river are some idiots and cattle,dogs and whatever will bite the dust.Hopefully no humans will be shot. Since i live in the woods we have leaves all over the ground. gld am like you and love to see the leaves on the ground. Still love to walk and kick the leaves as i go. Some people never grow up. Will have to rake enough up to cover my pots with piles of leaves,th rest will have to stay till spring. My tomato plant has grown another three inches but still no blooms. the little mater bit the dust. So i only have one plant now. ceresone and William,i hear you about the chase for tomatoes and it starts about ten minutes after you look at your first seed catalog in the winter. LOL!!!! William,i'd love to hear about the gardening practices in China, Do you get to see anything of chinese gardening? Will you have access to a computer while there? Christie, That was an ugly thing you did, telling us about eating watermelon while our mouths were watering LOL. i can't think of the kind we grew. (old age!!) but it's an old standby,medium size,round,darkgreen,with the wavy markings,red meat.Which one am i talking about? It does well here and has a great taste. So, if you forget to say something, or need to make a revision, a little trick I've used is to add a letter, or remove one from the title; i.e. instead of "bountiful harvest", delete or change a letter, as in "bountiful harvist". See? Then it will let you post a second time. Shirley, my shot-in-the-back experience was a one-time thing. Never had it before and hope to never need it again . . . but it was WAY better to have seven shots in the lumbar region than to carry on the way I had been for over a week. No contest. Hi, Lovely ladies--I must admit I am guilty of just reading the posts & not posting. Will try to do better. Maybe I can make that one of my New Years resolutions. I do have a list of goals for the new year that I try to keep every year. One emotional, physical, mental & spiritual. Also a Bible verse that I believe I need to memorize. I try to keep them in mind but so many times I fail. Maybe we can share some of them in the New Year! Wendy-I am getting your box ready today & will mail Monday. Sure hope things are going better for you, that your guy is better & will continue in good health. Nothing touches a mothers heart like a sick child, does it? How about all those boxes being unpacked. That is a chore & moving can be so stressful. Pixie--I read your GW page & love the quote you have on it. I am so thankful you are back to gardening & all. I know Cole Matthew wants you to enjoy this season & pray others who are grieving realize that also. Bless you, dear one for keeping the faith.
