Wondering if you ever found a solution? I have a whole house that came with HunterDouglas Powerview motorized shades, they are very nice and work well but they literally consume batteries (12 each) on a pretty much monthly basis and we don't even open and close them most days. It's ridiculous, wasteful, expensive and a huge pain in the butt because you usually realize they are dead when you go to open a window that has the blind all the way down making them hard to get to without damaging the shade. There are the rechargeable battery wands now but they are very pricey plus a charger and I have 7 windows to do. I really wish we just had basic manuals at this point or there was a way to manually operate these when they are out of battery. Replacing all the blinds isn't an option either. I can't seem to find a knockoff reasonably priced rechargeable battery wand either.

Yes, the battery packs can be repaired but not something commonly done. I wouldn't recommend buying a used battery off of EBAY or you may end up with another weak battery, so buy new. Your Lithium battery can easily sit a decade with a 30% charge because there is virtually no self-discharge with lithium batteries. Shipping rules require no more than a 30% charge is allowed for shipping, and even EGO's web site states batteries are shipped with a 30% charge and will last over 10 years in this condition. If you measure your 56V battery fully charged it will actually have a voltage of 58.8. volts and this is called your float charge. Sitting around it will self discharge down to 51.8 volts and then virtually stop self discharging to a minute trickle over many years. Believe it or not the optimum charge for maximum longevity is to store lithium batteries with a 50% charge. On the flip side a battery stored totally uncharged long enough will cause the battery to "fall asleep" and the Battery management system (BMS) will not allow it to recharge, but still may be good. Your Batteries critical voltage Where it will "fall asleep" is around 30 to 40 volts depending what EGO designed their BMS to stop a charge. IF someone let the battery drop below the critical level you would not even be allowed to charge the battery, but you are able to charge it so it wasn't ruined by letting it sit around. Even below the critical level down to 22 volts a special battery analyzer can bypass the BMS and boost the battery up so the BMS will charge it. Below the 22 volts the battery will be toast with excess internal resistance buildup that can't be reversed.

Yeah, like an electric wheelbarrow but better. This is the kind I have, only a 2014 model, looks basically the same tho. It changed my life as far as gardening, hauling most anything I used to have to drag on a tarp, plant trimmings, branches, rocks, bags of mulch, etc. and it dumps. Eleven years later I wish I had one I could ride on, which I see they make now only it's a smaller,deeper bucket and looks like you stand on it. Much easier than pushing a wheelbarrow, to me that is. I don't have that much strength in my arms. I bought the battery charger from the manufacturer of the cart (Granite Indus), I think it's too much money but what could I do? I need it. Didn't want to risk buying a knock-off.
