And the best, most reliable daffodil for the deep south is the large blooming Carleton variety listed in every bulb catalog. A favorite old timer. There are acres of these beauties growing at a daffodil farm on St. Helena Island near Beaufort, SC. It sadly appeared to be in decline the last time I visited due to change of ownership. A special place, Murrells Inlet, home of Brookgreen Gardens! And seafood fresh off the boats. You have found one of those special spots in the Carolinas to live. Enjoy!

Daffodils will naturalize beautifully in your location, with little care. King Alfreds used to be grown commercially just outside of Beaufort, SC literally a stone's throw from the coast! As long as the planting site drains well all year round, your bulbs will perform nicely for years to come.

Peppi, here is what Camille came up with: If they want some real good bar food....like French dips, Philly Cheese steak, burgers, etc......gotta go to Oscars!!! it is the best. Great sports bar if they are into that too. For a very nice dinner and always wonderful place.....Thoroughbreds is the place to go....just wonderful.....great steaks or anything on the menu is fantastic....great wine list....can't go wrong. Still one of my favs.....went there in January!! Bovines in Murrells Inlet is great too......we used to go there a lot when I lived there. The Mayor's House in Pawleys...since they will be down there anyway.....is always great. For seafood also try Preston's in North MB......always a good choice. A great place to hang out have a cocktail and shoot an oyster or two....Bimini's Oyster Bar and seafood. for breakfast....Plantation Pancake house is the deal.....I think there are two of them.....the Spanish omelet with the plantation potatoes is to die for. If they are going to order pizza to be delivered......California pizza is great and you can go to any of their 3 locations too. If they want something specific.....email me back. Hope this helps. We can't tell you which plants not to bring without knowing what you have. :-) Maybe you can make a list of your favorites for us. If you haven't already, become familiar with the Clemson Extension website. Myrtle Beach is in Horry County, pronounced OR REE, or oh ree..... never with the H sound, and not rhyming with sorry. You will be corrected every time you mispronounce it, lol. Myrtle is in zone 8, I believe.

Hello anna_lisa
All I do is put my mouse arrow on the picure I want to post and wait for the codes to open...

Then I just put my arrow on the HTML CODE and "LEFT" click on the code.

(If you look real fast while you "LEFT" click you will see it change,and the word "COPY" flashes in the in the background of the code for about a second..)
Now you can paste the HTML code where you need to.. in your post.

Hi Lines that the way i used to do it for years now it will not work when i press my left button on my mouse global setting and about adobe flash player come up
i have find share this then go to find code then copy the code it is alot of problems like this i will try flickr much easyer

Myrtle Beach looks really good to me right now. We had 5 inches of snow yesterday and I finished clearing the drive and sidewalk at 10 pm last night. Helped my neighbor clear his drive; His snow blower quit after moving 10 ft.

My front stoop iced up from drippings off the roof.
