Because the Veggie Forum is quite a fast moving forum, it is possible that someone, member or nonmember brought up your post via Google and replied to it, even though your post is no longer viewable on the 67 pages of posts there. Once a thread has dropped off of page 67, it will never be brought back up on page one with any new replies. The thread is just out there is cyberspace, and there isn't really anything that can be done about it, imho. A Google search of your member name and the subject line would likely find the thread, if you are curious to see if what I'm thinking has happened, really happened. wishingfarmmom, I just did a Search for your name after reading in the FAQ posting that you were disappointed with everyone's responses to your request for information. I read your first post, and thought that Bevangel went completely overboard & poured out her experience for an HOUR at least in reply to you. What are you looking for? Free design? We could all give you information for months until we were all blue in the face, and it WOULD NOT MATTER. Would you like to know what the REST of us have done, and fully expect you do too?? Take the floorplan that you think you want. Make 20 xerox copies. Take scissors, and cut 2 or 3 of them into pieces. Then sit for weeks on end & move the puzzle around and puzzle together various versions of your house. Close your eyes, USING YOUR IMAGINATION, and in your mind WALK THROUGH the house you have just puzzled together. Only YOU can say "How do I do laundry?" "Do I want a main-level Master?" "Do I cook?" "How much garage space do I need or want?". ETc. Seriously. How do you live? Honey, if you ask me, I'd say "use my floorplan!!" but you would chew it to pieces - it's not for you. Well guess what, we don't know how you live! Yes, you will put a TON of work into this. We all have!!!! If you're not ready for that, to me then please save yourself a lotta time, money, and heartache, and DON'T BUILD. Just my thoughts & $ 0.02 worth. v/r - www

I'll post all of the details along with "final" pictures after we can say that we're "done," but to answer your questions... jstehl, the cabinets are custom from Paradise Custom Kitchens in PA. The appliances are by Samsung(fridge), Electrolux (range), KitchenAid (dishwasher), and GE (microwave). I chose each by features and reviews, so I ended up with a mixed bag of brands. Jillsee, the tile is MSI crema marfil in 3x6. Our granites and cabinet colors are very similar. I saw your post about choosing backsplash tile. I'll add a comment there, too. Breezygirl, the cat is friendly, so come on over. I must admit that the matching blue displays on the appliances were a happy accident. The microwave display is green, so that kind of messes up what I have going on with the blue lights. Florantha, our design process actually did take us quite a while. And the deconstruction/construction process took about six weeks. We began exploring ideas in early 2010, but I didn't find this forum until we were well along in the process. If I had found it sooner, I probably would have overanalyzed a lot more of the layout decisions that were made pre-forum. sas95, we've had the stools for perhaps ten years. They were purchased at Sam's Club. When I get home, I'll check underneath them and see if there's any identifying info.
