No, what is it? Where do we sign up?

Never mind my question. I found it.

I did and got mine Monday! I really like it!

I got mine.

It tastes sweet right out of the package, but when I put it in a hot cup of coffee the sweetness disappears. Maybe it will retain its sweetness in a cold beverage.

I must be special, I got mine yesterday! LOL
I was hoping someone would start a post on this too Ruthie.
So far so good! I used it in my coffee yesterday afternoon. I wasn't sure how much to use, then I saw 1 tsp Truvia is equal to 2 tsp sugar, so I put a half packet in my cup. Used the other half packet on my oatmeal this morning. I think I could have had just a bit more on the cereal.
My store only carries the scharine and sucrose stuff. I can't drink it in diet pop (it leaves a horrible aftertaste to me)and was curious about the Truvia. I like it so far. I hope they will carry Truvia soon.
Did anyone check out the Truvia website?
I did a little surfing and haven't checked out any recipes yet. But I did learn I am overweight by checking my BMI.

I got mine yesterday. The opened box smells like butterscotch. Haven't opened one of the packets yet.

Albertsons in my town carries it...

Were they offering free coupons?

Monablair, THANK YOU!!! I got mine on Monday as well and tried in in hot tea and in coffee, it tasted like I had used about half the Splenda I usually use. But like you, I tasted it out of the packet and it seemed sweet.

I got mine Mon and tried it in coffee. I'm a sugar user, and found it was pretty good, but not quite sugar. I imagine those who use other 'artificial' stuff might really like it though.

I wonder if in time they will use it in making diet pop which I don't drink now because I don't care for it.

Were they offering free coupons?

It was a gwannouncements post. They sent a box of 40 packets. Each packet is equal in sweetness to 2 ts of sugar. Their site says Truvia is a natural sweetener.

hth.

I'm guessing it's stevia, yes? I use stevia occasionally, in liquid form. A little dropper bottle (from the health food store) lasts for ages.

i got mine as well. i think it smells like berries.

i don't like it. all those substitutes have an aftertaste to me and then i feel strange after using them, almost "speedy".

I think it says it's made from stevia on the pkg. Mine came yesterday, I used it in my coffee this a.m., tasted just like it does with Splenda.
Glenda, the first ones to sign up got it and we will get an email "in a week or two" and fill out a survey.

Mine came yesterday too. I used it in a cup of tea. Zero calories and it comes from a plant I grow in my herb garden, what could be better. I hope they package it in larger quantities for baking. It sure beats paying the big sugar companies that are ruining the Everglades. (stepping down from my soap box now)

So far, I like it better than Splenda, but not as much as Equal. Still use Sweet & Low in coffee, so I guess we've added a FOURTH color (green & white) to our "sugar bowl" of artificial sweeteners. I've heard it's expensive, though, so I'll have to see....

Redcurls~It's not artificial, it comes from the Stevia plant.

The Truvia is about $8 for a package of 80, while Only Sweet is $6 for 100 at Kroger. They are both Stevia.

I've read that now manufacturers of foods can start using the Stevia in their products. So hopefully we can get rid of some of those artifical sweeteners.
