Welcome aboard. I suspect you have a Jacobsen built unit, they were good tractors. Can you post some pictures?

I can't stop laughing! You guys are too funny. Unfortunately, I have way more sense than I do money, heck, I'm too poor to pay attention most of the time :o) I plan on updating too: I was gonna replace the nice bright orange truck hose with an old piece of green garden hose, I could buy a water lily or 2 instead of chucking in the cut rose blooms of the day, lilies might last a bit longer too :o) Those rose blooms just don't last very long at all, very disappointing. Thought I might use a piece of wire to tie the screen to the coffee filter, I did use my good hair tie and I kinda want it back Think I'll leave the pump alone though, the neighbors don't seem to mind me water their yard. Thought about gettin' a few fish but figured my gardening buddy would just eat them: I swear she has to taste test everything! You should see her on fish emulsion spray day, I have to lock her up, she follows me around licking the spray off of everything I just sprayed. Scorpio:I highly recommend the shower curtain liner, best dern idea I had let me tell you I dropped many a rock arranging and rearranging and that old curtain held up great. wonder if it has anything to do with the layers of hard water built up on it?, hummmm.... if you use soft water it might not hold up as well Well, I had better sign off and go retrieve my hair tie. Hope to hear more funny stories. Lioness... or should I say PondGuyver :o)

Actually.... they do make them like that today...only better. They're called Ingersoll's but just like your old Ford did when it was new, they come at a premium price. You cannot make a comparison between your old Ford and the big-box store LT's of today or even that X-304 Deere that you were considering. Don't believe me??? Find out what Grandpa paid to buy the Ford brand new and the year he bought it. Then go on the internet and find out what that amount of money is today after inflation has been applied. Quite often, that $800.00 GT from the 70's would cost you ten times that amount in the money of today. Here is a link that might be useful: Ingersoll

Nice Unit Dude ! Enjoy it , looks like a stout set up !
