No, and I owe you an email. Got my purse stolen, out photographing pelicans, everything seems to be under control now, but unbelieveable what all you have to go through with credit cards, checks, credit union, police, etc. Got me way behind because I didn't have any money for awhile and could only write a check at the gas station where they knew me, every place else requires an id, and they got mine. I got a lot of it back, the police were finding stuff scattered all over the west part of town.

I suggest you look at dpreview for those models, read the reviews, look at the sample galleries, and read user opinions. My granddaughter was interested in that series, and I'm encouraging her to wait and buy a dslr, Canon will have rebates starting Oct 15, I think, and prices on some models of dslr's are coming down, she can have my kit lens to start with. She has a Canon Pro 1 now, I think it is an excellent camera for the money, it has an L-quality glass lens (Kreutzer?), and she hasn't begun to tap the power of that camera to get better photos. That model has been discontinued, I believe.

OMG, it's weird that you went thru that, because someone just ripped me off $500. I'm not sure how they did it....online perhaps but luckily that's all they took. I hope you are ok... I don't know about you but I really feel violated....it could have been worse.

$500? That is horrible, is there any way you can get it back, ins, etc? That would go a long way toward a camera. I only had $4 cash and some change in my purse, seldom carry much cash for that very reason, years ago developed the habit of sticking my keys in my pocket when I'm out, the reason being if they grab my purse (was thinking more in terms of yanking it away from me), I will at least be able to get home. It's just a nuisance all you have to go through. From now on, I'm leaving most of the cards (not all credit/debit cards, some ins, etc.) at home and just taking one. Well I haven't come up with a foolproof plan but am gaining on it.

Let me know what you decide to buy; I signed up for an online course in PS CS2 Intermediate starting in Nov, hope I learn a lot, only $83, not bad, at our local community college, six weeks or so. Glad if I was able to steer you in the right direction.

Do I feel violated? Yes, in a way, but not like if somebody had broken into my home. I was mad. Then part of me was a little grateful that I got some of it back, most do not. This past week in the next block west of me, and this is in a pretty nice part of town, some thugs jumped a newspaper carrier, 45 years old, as he was finishing his route at 5:30 am. He is in critical condition in a local hospital. I try not to be negative, but crime seems to be rising really bad all over.
