Do you have a Ticor S815 sink?

I'm considering this sink (interior dimensions are 14 in. x 14 in. x 8 in.) for the prep sink in my new island. If you have it, what's been your experience with it so far?

I'd like a bigger sink, but I'm limited in size (13 in. x 15 in., or equivalent) by my local water management district, and I need a center drain because of cabinet and plumbing issues. If you've seen any other stainless steel sinks about this size with a center drain, please let me know.

I think the OP means S405...the single-bowl D-shaped sink. Do a search on sink + 405, you may find one of the threads that recently discussed D-shaped vs rectangular sinks...IIRC, there were quite a few pictures of both types sink. We moved into our brand new house last week. Thus far, I really do like my Ticor sink. I love the grid - which I didn't think I would. One thing - I wish I hadn't gotten the single bowl. Wish I'd have gone w/ a two bowl. The single is plenty long, but I would prefer it to be wider. If I am washing a 9X13 pan, I easily put it in horizontally, but then it takes up alot of room. I would prefer to set it in vertically (does that even make sense??) Then I could put more items on the other side. Oh well. My previous sink was wider - so maybe I'm still adjusting. Overall, the quality is fantastic. I can't complain at all about that.

I have the Ticor S405D with an InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist GD under it. I did not order anything "extra" for my sink...I ordered the sink independently of my KD & GC. Now, it's possible that my KD ordered "extras" when she ordered the GD, but I couldn't find any in the 36 pages of supplies & installation! When your KD says "fitting tools"..does s/he mean tools for installing the GD? If so, shouldn't your GC/plumber already have the tools needed to do the job? Or is the term "fitting tools" used to mean adapters, etc.? As I said, as far as I know I didn't need anything "extra". Maybe everything is included with InSinkErator GDs? What "brand" are you getting? Here are some pics...

Last night I was online with Customer Service at Overstock. They say that the description doesn't say it is a Ticor. Pretty funny, since it is exactly the same photo used by Galaxy, and the exact description, and oh yeah--it comes in a Ticor box! This morning I woke up, filled out my return request, and am planning on running over to the granite fabricator's shop to see what he thinks. If he thinks I should just keep it and not run the risk involved in having Galaxy overnight one to me and then we check to see if it will fit or not. You can see I started another link about this once I realized this is NOT a Ticor sink. ugh. Oh, I wouldn't return this one until after the granite was installed with the other one!
