I have lots of leaves on my BB and roses too. Also oakleaf hydrangea has leaves. Also daphne 'Carol Mckie' (known to be a late dropper). My pansies are still mildly blooming. Geraniums and coral bells are looking good, but they are semi-evergreen here anyhow, so that probably doesn't count. Its been a very mild Nov/Dec so far. I love it! Although these oddities sometimes confuse our plants, they will compensate. I heard some crocuses are coming up. And someone I know mowed their grass recently!

Well I hope that is all true for you guys. Maybe it will cool down for us in 3 weeks here in central Texas. Usually September 24th is our first break. My son's birthday and normally it is a perfect day. No AC, just perfect.right now, we have one of those 105 7 days in a row forecast and then you know how they always under estimate things. They usually say 101 and it ends up105. Today we break our 83 yr old record of days over 100. We will slam through this record this year, unfortunately. I sound like a broken record. I think we all do. This is so depressing and hard to find anything to celebrate or joke about. the drought is such a heavy presence. My cedar elm has lost its leaves.

Me too on the curly hair thing!..I have always fretted on getting my hair cut...its thin and extremely curly..and the stylist have no clue what Im talking about because they have this thick straight perfect hair,,,and they ALWAYS cut mine way tooo short... Now..zap to my daughter, she HAS now been a licensed stylist for over 2 years...the first time I let her cut my hair off she listened!!...Now zap to 3 days ago...I let her cut my hair off again.....SHE DIDNT LISTEN!!!...and again...I have hair short enough IF I DONT blow dry it..it will be a very frizzy..very curly...very scary...to my head fro.... Why is it the experienced ones NEVER LISTEN!!! THINK they know everything???..LOL..she cut at least 8" off my lenght!! ACK!!! HATE humid hot days..at least with VERY short hair I do...sighhh... Now you can REALLY tell when its going to rain..LOL Dena

I got a postcard in the mail the other day from a company called RestorationWindows.com. Checked the BBB, and they seem to be in good standing there. I had the guy out for an estimate (just today). They take the old window out, replace the sash cords with chain and put in new weather stripping, then repaint the sash (making repairs as necessary) while it's out & then replace. Had anyone had experience working with them? Or, alternately, if anyone has a recommendation for a window restoration company in the SF Bay Area (I'm in San Francisco), I'd appreciate it!
