Comments (4)So far (including the burst we just had - half an inch), June and July is about 12 inches! I mow the yard every third day! Good grief! Two years ago, I didn't mow for 7 weeks! That moon, from the past couple of nights, I was able to see only in short periods. Darned clouds! The temps are expected to be 15 degrees cooler for the next 6 days. Sooooo good! Comments (3)Maybe they are tricky little devils. My pumpkin had them. My yellow squash had them. But only 2 out of 6 plants died. 2 zucchinni plants next to my dead pumpkin survived...still producing. My yellow squash that died has sisters next to it still producing. I think the pumpkin brought the squash borers....I dont know for sure....See MoreMoon & Sun
Comments (39)those have been really interesting to see being done..I for sure, would never have thought to put on plates like you did.. where are they going to be hung? bathroom, bedroom, outside?........... if they're weatherproofed, they sure would be cool, out in the yard. I haven't been able to sign any of the work I've done, so far..lol when I did my first portrait, in a seminar,..the instructor wanted me to sign it.. for some reason, I really haven't wanted to, cuz it was a study lesson and not something I started out doing, on my own..so, I put on 3 chicken scratches..lol I love the number 3 and that's all I've put on anything, so far. maybe someday, I'll claim any of my work, 100%..and then I can begin to sign what I make...weird, huh?...See MoreJournal 10 August 2017
Comments (7)Yes, it's been a long time. He had such a hard time at the beginning of school, but he's really hit his stride. I can't imagine him off at university, and I totally can. He's really in another world, far outside of mine, even within mine. The man I spoke of, the bioinformatician I talked about? He works with me. Obama's staff tried hard to get him to head up the new Precision Medicine initiative, but he stayed at my employers. He's really good. But, the point? He and LF (who is inches taller than I am, and just passed me up in weight. NOT little) were talking about directions for university, and they were talking about actual computer science language and writing equations on my white erase board that looks like total Greek to me. LF stood toe to toe with him and added to the conversation. He's gonna do well. I was floored. And proud. Despite all he's been through, he'll be more than all right....See More- 14 years ago

I have had some great ones just hand held with my 300mm zoom. I set up the tripod the other night and had no luck. Too hazy tonight.
Love the latest one!
This is what I got with the last full moon - hand held.
