Thank you, ya'll, for the ID on the Peace rose. It certainly does appear to be Peace. I'm not sure I would have planted it but I'm happy with it now. I hope my ten roses continue to do well, but the more I read, the more amazed I am that they are. I live in a forest and they are planted on the north side of my house, which is about the only sunny spot on my entire property, so they get, at best six hours of sun a day; the soil, which hasn't been amended in any way, is almost pure sand; and although I winter mulched the first year they were in (2011), I haven't since; and that, thank God, so far they've not had any disease or insect problems (and I shudder when I read about some of the nasty diseases roses can get!). I'm almost afraid to change what I'm doing because they bloom like crazy from spring to late fall. I guess roses are tougher than I ever thought. Anyway, I'll keep reading the forum and try to learn more about caring for my plants properly and try to incorporate some of those practices into my care of them.

I had hoped to get some more pics of this plant today, I had a nice little cluster blooming, but the wind was so bad this morning it blew off all the petals! Ah well, the rebloom is good enough that I'm sure I'll get another flush soon here. I did get a bloom from my Nightmoss though! And it survived the wind somehow? Who knows. Next up, it looks like Jeri Jennings & Snowfire - beyond that, I'm not sure, the last two winters have been brutal enough here that some of my plants took it extremely hard, to the point where I lost a couple of my favorites, and it looks like I might be down to rootstock suckers on a couple more. I think from this point on, I'm just going with own-root roses, they seem to overwinter better than grafted, potted stock from the nurseries here. Which means, an RVR order in the near future, when I get some extra cash!

Excellent Jairo. Yellows are beautiful, enjoy. Once the buds grow to a point of being swollen and ready to open. Move it to a place or sit something in front of it to give filtered sunlight to it. Flowers will usually be a deeper shade and color will not fade as quickly. Rick

One of the first landscape daylilies I got decades ago was Pandora's Box. It Is still blooming for me, in fact it just finished. I'd say that was a good selection for you. What is the plant in the background of the PB picture?...And welcome to our little group.
