I am Grandma. When my mother was still alive, I was "Young Grandma" and she was "Old Grandma"!

I'm MiMi. Kaity named me that one day while I was watching her. We had a mirror-topped coffee table and she leaned over to kiss herself (haha) and bumped her head. She puckered up, so I slapped myself on the forehead and said, "Ouch". Well, that just cracked her up. (Hey, 18-month olds make a great audience.) So I did it again. Well now, she is rolling on the floor laughing and saying, "Oh MiMi, oh Mimi!" So that's how I became MiMi to all the grandkids. Wish I could live that fun day with Kaity all over again.

I am Nanny D to the grands and nieces and nephews.

I'm Grandmom

I am GrandmaLinda. All one word.

Patti that is the cutest story!!

Grandma

Depends on which ones are saying it. Damien calls me Granny, unless he forgets he's not talking to his other Grandma, then it's Grandma, quickly changed to Granny. DS's girlfriend's boys call me Grandma. I like them both.

I'm Nana

I'm Mamaw.

Sue

I'm Gramma to all of them, except one. With him, it's Grandma Bettye. I answer to all! LOL

I'm Grandma and their other grandmother is Nana. My mother is Granny and their other GGM is MawMaw. It makes things less confusing.

It was "Nana", which some how has become shorted to "Nan".

Linda, I didn't know you had grandchildren! Did you son get married?

I'm Grandma Gail.

I am Grammie. It is one of the sweetest sounds to me. I did not have children of my own, but I am very close to my stepchildren and there is no "step".

I am also a GRAMMIE

I am grandma or grandma JO. I am the only grandma they know since ther other grandma want nothing to do with them.

Memaw.

I wanted just Grandma, but the first g'child had a mind of her own, so SHE chose...she was about 15 months old at the time.

I'm KK. For awhile the youngest grandson couldn't say his K's and he called me TaTa, but not anymore.

Glenda, some friends adopted a baby as a newborn and he is 17 months old now. His grandmas live far away so his mom said I could be GrandmaLinda. I was his sponsor when he was baptized and I don't charge them for babysitting. I watched him tonight for a couple of hours while they went to dinner to celebrate mom's birthday and they brought me a big piece of chocolate cake. Several people at church refer to me as grandma because I am usually with Finn.

gramma by some, mamoo by a couple, and grammajulie by the ones with three of us. love them all!

How sweet Glenda! :) My name is Grana. Love it!

Linda, that's fantastic!

Nonna

Grandma! My oldest grandchild is 3. But I requested to be called Grandma because my grandparents were deceased before I was born, and I carry the name with honor.

You sound like royalty Glenda. I love it!

I'm G-Ma. I used to ask my daughter how "my baby" was doing when she was pregnant for the first time. She laughed and said, "mom its MY baby not yours...". So I said "okay, how is my G-baby?" And from then on I was "G-Ma". And I love it. The other mother-in-law is grandma.

Its all good isn't it?

Susan

I started out being Grams to the oldest grandchild

Then Nawnaw to the other little ones

As they grew older I became Grandma...

Now in the techy age...with texting I've become Gma

Good post Glenda

I'm Grandma2 to the grandkids and Gigi (for GreatGrandma) to my 7 greatgrandkids.

I'd love to be a Grandmother by any name, but my daughters arewn't even married yet! When they were little, they called their Grandmas "Grandma Josie" and "Grandma Wood". Funny, one by her first name and the other her surname.

I am Mimi, when she first started talking she called me Mommy and her mother by her name. After some work, I got her to call me Mimi and her mother Mommy.

Another Mimi here. I have a friend whose grandchildren call her Gree-gree. Little mouths trying to say 'grandmother' can sound comical but so very cute!

The girls call me Mamaw, the boys call me mawmaw.

I am not a grandma, but my girls call my mom "mawmaw" and DH's mom "Gran"

The Hawaiian word for grandmother is Tutu. I only have one grandchild. He calls his other grandmother Ama because he couldn't ay Gramma when he was little and it stuck. Now she has her other grandchildren call her Ama, too.

i'm plain grandma, and dh is papa..but now to one dgs he's papa with mustash, lol...(put his finger up by his nose)

oh one set of grands have so many gmas, i'm gma susan...they have 2 full gmas, one step, and one ggma...

I am "Juju" and LOVE it! :)

Grandma, Gramma, or Grandma Joyce. My stepdaughter's new 12 year old stepdaughter even called me 'new grandma' once, which I thought was kind of cute :-)

My grandkids call me Nana, but my great-grandson who is 1 calls me Na when I am on the phone with him.

The kids all call me Granny....My first Granddaughter started calling me that and now they all call me Granny.

I'm Nonna to all the GK'S and the GGK'S,even to a few nieces and nephews. They all grew up together and heard the GK'S calling me Nonna, they adopted that name as well.Works for me!! Love them all to pieces.
Kathi

i am called nana when my gs was about 18 mos he would call me jingle bells as my middle name is isabell

nanaofmany....CUTE story! Love it! :)

When DD has kids, they can call me whatever they decide. I think I would like Nana, but Mime (mimm-ay) or Babcia (bab-chi-a) or Grandma or whatever they come up with is great.

Glenda, is this "Grandmama" with a french inflection (grand-muhmah) or southern (grand-maw-mah)?

My brother and I and our cousins have always called our Grandma---- Nanny (when we were little) then Nan as we grew up. She was never called any other name.

When she was a little thing, my niece called her maternal grandmother Bubbles.

dances: Grandmama" with a french inflection (grand-muhmah)

It's my best friend that her GK's call her grandmama, and she's French Canadian.

GS only referred grandmama to me on facebook:o) couple times, cause he liked it and that my BF is called that.

I like it too.

I'm Nana
Once had to pick up eldest grandson from daycare. My DD had notified them. Teacher escorted me to his classroom and said "_______ here is your Grandma to pick you up!" He looked at us and said "That's not my Grandma" She gave me a semi panicked look and he continued "That's my Nana."
His other grandma is "Grandma" not me!

All my Grandkids call me "Mia!"

I'm Grandmommy, just as my mother was for my daughter.
