So what do you store in your corner cabinet?

I was reading the drawer spice storage thread and am intrigued, but I have a ton of spices, oils and vinegars. They fully take up both shelves in the lazy susan of the corner cabinet. If you store your spices in a drawer or elsewhere, what do you store in your corner cabinet?

I store my tea, honey, oils, vinegars, popcorn, other misc sauces and bulk size bottles in a lazy susan in a bottom corner cupboard to the left of my range.

However, smaller bottles like my spices I store in a drawer (no organizer) to the right of my range.

Do you mean upper or lower?

I've had pie-cut Susans (the kind with the doors attached) in lower corner cabinets in two residences, and they are excellent for storing pots.

Not necessarily true about smaller Lazy Susans. My 33" Lazy Susan in my previous house fit blenders, food processors, toaster, mixing bowls, etc, without a problem. I never fought with getting things in or out, never had an issue, contrary to what other people tried to tell me. I used it to store all small appliances, bowls, and miscellaneous gadgets that didn't really fit anywhere else. This pic was taken right before I moved as I was packing and thought to snap a photo. Normally, it was packed much fuller than this. You don't have to have a large kitchen to make it work, and you don't have to settle for wasted empty space or a blind cabinet (which wouldn't have worked at all in my layout). This 33" LS was the best, very efficient use of an awkward corner. My current house also has a LS, this time a 36" one. Again, I store small appliances, bowls, gadgets, tea pitchers, cutting boards, pyrex dishes, salad spinner, oversized pots/pans. It's a disorganized mess right now but that's because I'm lazy and just throw things in there. It's easy like that.

What do you store in your kitchen drawers?

@ beaglesdoitbetter: I love the look of your drawers, but wrt the knife storage -- it would drive me around the bend to have to make those extra motions to get at and put away a knife (open drawer, then pull on inner drawer, then pull out knife). But cooking styles differ so much from person to person. I use a chef's knife for 90% of my knife work, and would be willing to keep the others (bread, utility, slicer, and paring) in a drawer-within-drawer if the chef's knife were available on the counter.

What do you store in your upper cabinets?

I think it depends. Our family is fairly tall...ranging from the shortest person (me) at 5'10" to the tallest (DH, so far) at 6'5". We decided that, for us, dishes in the upper cabinets worked better as the first two shelves are at a perfect height for us when taking things out/putting things away. We can all reach even the top most shelf of our 36" tall cabinets w/o assistance...I can't reach the very back of the top most shelf (we have 3 shelves + the bottom of the cabinet in each one, so the top shelf is pretty high), but I can reach half-way in. What we did do is put things like pots & pans, mixing bowls, casserole/baking dishes, etc. in the drawers b/c (1) they're heavier and it's easier to lift something heavy up then pull it out & down, (2) several are too big to store efficiently in upper cabinets (12" & 15" depth), (3) we have a lot more room in drawers so we can keep them together in the right zones, and (4) I'm the one that uses most of these items & I'm the shortest! I think my height is just right for either upper cabinets or drawers. I suspect 6' is the point at which it starts becoming better to use upper cabs for dishes & glasses. So...drawers:

We wanted a trash pull-out under our very deep main sink, but they are too tall. I don't know why, but I was comparing trash cans at the home center one day, and discovered that they sell a trash can that is identical, only a few inches shorter. I bought the Rev-A-Shelf pull-out, and the shorter plastic trash can. It clears by about 1/4"! Here's a before and after: Too tall: Just right: My other favorite storage hack is incorporating the toe kick into the bottom drawers to make use of the wasted space- We have 32 drawers in our small-medium kitchen, but there's never enough storage! I made this rolling bin on the outside of the peninsula to make use of the dead corner.

I meant lower. My large pots are all in a large drawer but I can see how the lazy susan would work well for them. I no longer have any uppers next to my range, so there is no where else for my oils etc to go.

I meant lower - I was thinking that if I move the spices to a drawer, there is a lot of space in that lower corner cabinet and I was wondering how I might use it better. Thanks!

The bottom of my prep sink! Ha ha. I loathe and despise corner cabinets, so I put a sink in mine just to show it who's boss.

We have 2 susan cabinets. I keep all of the stuff that wouldn't fit elsewhere--sodas, bottles of juices, larger tupperwares and disposable plastics (rarely use either but I like to have them around), salad spinner, lunch boxes and snack bags. Around the edges of the cabinet I keep cutting boards on end. We have super susans and there is a little space between the turntable and the shelf below--I slip extra pans for the toaster oven and an extra turntable for the mw in the slot since they are closer to the susan than the divided tray cabinet.

We'll have both upper and lower corner cabinets and have configured the bottom to be the recycle center and the top is an easy reach corner cabinet, which I guess we'll use for bulk baking supplies since it will be in proximity of the ovens.

Upper corner cabinet has a lazy susan with:

baking supplies in glass jars; kids' snacks; adult snacks.

Lower corner cabinet has a lazy susan with:

mixing bowls; Le Creuset Dutch ovens; large Pyrex measuring pitchers; George Foreman grill; some of the deeper ceramic baking dishes
