This great orchid has had a name change. It is now Oncidium Hawaiian Sunset. Do you have a seedling or a mericlone? I only know about the name change because i type the results from the monthly orchid society benching. Perhaps you should slightly increase the watering frequency as spring comes and the days get longer and warm up.

Westhamutd, There were 2 gars. They were both close to 3 feet in length! On a totally different subject, it's good to see that your team is getting back to where it should be ;) lackey, it seems that the pelicans are using the cormorants as fish finders. It's quite a spectacle when the cormorants all suddenly dive and the pelicans rise to swoop on the shoal of fish. It was obvious that today was a good day for fishing!

So pretty and peaceful looking, and the best part is you live there to enjoy these views! :)

Thanks Josh. All it takes is getting into the habit of looking up once a day... Actually, if one would just take the time to notice what's going on around them, expand one's bubble of perception, so to speak, then more people would capture moments like this. Oh, and don't forget to carry a camera....
