DH & I just pile them on the floor beside the bed. We have a total of 6 dec. pillows on our bed.

And what a sweetie DH is too - in the morning (I leave for work before him) he does his best to put all of them back on the bed in a neat little arrangement.

Lot's of bed pillows here too! This isn't very pretty, but I put some of them on the bench @ the foot of the bed and the rest go on the floor. I'm not disciplined enough to put them in a zippered plastic pkg. They just end up piled on the floor til' morning....no one see's them but us anyway.

In our last house, we always stowed them on the (carpeted) floor of our walk-in closet.

We just pile them on the floor.....heck, who is going to see them over-night????what makes the difference that they are put away?

Me too. Piled on the floor till morning. I have 5.

Put them all on the trunk at the end of the bed.

All 6 go on the floor. Sadly they stay there most of the time. DH just just loves when I "pretty" the bed. :) (sarcasm)

I am laughing because my dogs would have the fanciest beds in town if I threw them on the floor!

Same here paint chips. Once while I was washing the sheets and the blankets were still tucked in the mattress but draped on the floor, I came back into the bedroom to find one of the dogs had made a nest in those blankets! All within 20 minutes.

On the floor, I'm afraid. I have a trunk at the end of the bed but that's where the cat's food dish reposes (that way the short little dog doesn't scarf up all the food) and naturally the cat's needs have precedence over everything else. Lately he even insists on being lifted onto the trunk. He's getting older so we oblige.

They go on the cedar chest that is on the wall adjacent to the bed. Same place the sleeping pillows go during the day - trading spaces! LOL

I have 9 and they are big; 4 of them are euro size so they stack on the floor near my armoire, the rest of them have spots on 2 chairs. I do this during the evening while we're watching tv so I don't have to deal with it when I'm half asleep going to bed.

When DH is away, I just line them up on his side of the bed.

We have four and put them on the bench at the bottom of the bed but they are slippery fabric and kind of teeter and fall off. DH was just asking if we should get a chest to put down there... but after reading the dust ruffle and spider threads here, I imagined spidies hiding out in a chest....

I pile ours on a rocker in the bedroom. Can't use the floor, like another poster, the dogs would be laying all over them rather than on their own dog beds. I like the idea of the closet floor save that the closet in the bedroom (DH) is home to many other things on the floor.

I have to say you gals all have such nice DHs. Helping you stow the pillows, making the bed and arranging the decorative pillows! Doesn't anyone have a DH like mine who complains daily with the question "why do we have so many pillows"? "Is it really necessary to have x amount of pillows", "this is nuts" and like comments?

Sorry to hijak your post but couldn't resist after reading how other DHs aren't irritated with the decorative pillows. This is a daily bone of contention in our home.

Work - Oh like I said my DH loves them ha. He does question why we need so many but most of the time we make a joke out of it. I don't think I'd attempt to add anymore though. Might put him over frou frou edge. :)

My dh does not understand why the bed even has to be made unless company is coming over. The bed pillows are frou frou to him.
I do have an upholstered bench next to the wall that i stack the pillows on.

This is precisely why we don't have extra pillows on the bed. I often have to get up during the night, and I don't want to trip over pillows. There's no room on the floor on DH's side of the bed, and the dog sleeps on the floor at the foot of the bed. We don't have a walk-in closet or a chair or trunk to stow extra pillows.

Plus, DH thinks all those pillows lined up on the bed are ridiculous. (He even remarks about it when we're in a hotel!) I like the way it looks, but because we have no place to put them at night, we don't have them.

bumblebeez--My DH is like that, too. If he lived alone, the bed would never be made.

I keep hoping my pile will just become invisable. A picture's worth a thousand words.

That's why I think having a trunk or hamper for the pillows makes sense. They would not be on the floor or taking toom up on a chair, etc. Plus some pillows cost a fortune. I made 4 of my pillows and 3 were purchased. The waterford crystal bead pillow is too precious to kick around on the floor. The ones I purchased are the gold one to right, the middle leopard one, and the crystal beed one in center. The tiger stripe to right and leopard to left used to be miniskirts. I even left the back zippers in place. LOL.

We have six -- they get piled on the rocking chair. After they were placed on the chair, it would "mysteriously" rock by itself and scare my dear departed golden retriever. The new dog (goldendoodle) ain't afraid of nuthin'!

I lean the king shams against our footboard, three more go on the trunk at the foot of our bed and another one or two sit on an iron & wicker tea cart. If I put them on the floor my dogs would sleep on them.
