I'm planning a wall to wall vanity in my tiny powder room . I only have less than 38 inches to work with, so I'm going with a built in look. I do agree if I had 65 inches, I'd consider a gap on either side because I like the furniture look, but that limits you to 57 inches, so you have room to pick up that pesty eyeliner pencil that decides to roll off the edge. You have to decide if the extra counter space is more important. Form vs Function Always ;-) Hunzi

I prefer accent walls to be those with no redeeming architectural features. If you want one wall to be a different color, I would choose the longest wall that has no windows, doors or a fireplace. If this isn't your furniture, then we can't suggest a color. Paint should work with the fabrics and textiles in a space. Bring those in, take fresh pix, and post as a new dilemma.

IMO Wall to window would look more balanced

Thanks everyone for your input. ive been away but i thought id show a better picture of what we currently have. we like the scale of the pattern and would like to have something similar in scale especially because the other pattens in the room are smaller in scale. the second reason for looking for a wall to wall we can cut to size is wed like to repeat in the entry as we currently have. the entry rug is a size thta you can it find in a pre made rug. this is essentially one room we have divide the entry with the sofa and console.
