Good places or websites to look for drapery fabric?

I have mainly been looking at Calico Corners but they just don't seem to have the perfect fabric for my room. What are your favorite stores or online sites for ready made draperies or fabrics for custom made draperies? TIA!

What a fun website! I'm going to need some new curtains before long, so I'd love to know if anyone has ever bought curtains from them. I received a catalog the other day called Smith+Noble and it's similar to the website you posted where you can choose different fabrics. I was also wondering if anyone has used them. For practicing on, plain unbleached muslin is usually around a dollar a yard and as totallyblessed says, most fabric stores regularly have coupons to drop the cost even further. Many experienced sewers do practice/test pieces and try out new patterns on unbleached muslin because it's so cheap. Walmart also has a buck-a-yard table, so if you're over there for something else, stop by the fabric department - it may not be exactly what you want but if it's for practicing on I imagine day-glo orange paisley isn't quite so bad. ;-) (If your practice pieces come out well, donate them to Goodwill!) Fabrics-Store.com has pretty good prices in their "oops" and "doggie bag" departments; they specialize in linen. People rave about eBay for fabric shopping. I haven't bought anything yet but I'm drooling over upholstery fabrics for a chair and a couch (the couch is a "someday").

here's a link to a gorgeous drape store....

I buy most of my fabric and make my own stuff. Fabric.com and a few others that I found on this site (you can search for online fabric stores if that's the way you want to go!).

Ballard has some nice fabrics and I've been pleased with the thickness of their drapes. I also got some great curtains from Ikea last year! they look really high end. I lined them myself, but it was worth it.

I do the actual Driving, Parking, Walking into the Store, thing. My favorites are Hancock fabrics, (they have online as well,) JoAnns........their coupons are always in my Sunday newspaper, and a neat place here in Fresno, called Harts for the Home. It's the bomb, but it's local. They have in house drapery people, to-die-for trims, and a ton of fabrics gorgeously displayed. They also check out samples. That's the best, because you can tape a sample on your window to eyeball it for real.
