East of Fresno, Ca. It was a lasting experience. Someday maybe I will visit Kings Canyon National Park and see The General Sherman. Without a picture of it, it is hard to guess, but in general, newbies often fail to give new hydrangeas enough water. Try watering at the rootball--a deep watering--and make sure it doesn't get bone dry in the future. Sorry, that's the best I can come up with--without more info. Kate
