I am thinking that it could be Sanicula canadensis, take a look at this picture of it and compare the two plants. Brighton Shares the Harvest in Brighton Colorado is looking for volunteers to help us start tomato, pepper and herb seedlings for our annual plant giveaway. We will be at Summerfest in Brighton June 7, 2025. Volunteers would be provided soil, pots and seeds. We can also provide seedlings to be cared for until June. Volunteers get to keep a percentage of the seedlings. Last year we gave away over 350 plants. You can start 20 or 100! We would be thankful for the help. We have this available in our community. Once I contacted them when both of us were quite sick and not able to make meals for ourselves. I got a response from a woman who lived nearest to us and said she would make a vegan lasagna and asked for our address. So we never went through with it. We try to limit processed foods - fake meat and fake cheese/dairy/eggs aren't in our grocery cart. My onocologist also has told me to avoid soy-based foods. The concept of a complete stranger making a casserole in their home kitchen and bringing it to your house is heartwarming but not without risks. I have participated in a neighborhood group formed to provide meals for a family going through some tough medical issues - about 10 of us would sign up and rotate. We did get feedback from the family if they were averse to something or if they really loved something. It was a gratifying experience and not much work since we ate the same thing we made for their dinner when it was our turn.

Still no clue!! And, those weren't flower buds either. It's funny that it looks like so many other things - avocados, plumerias (the group of bud-like forms), gardenias (but with larger leaves) ... maybe I'll try the master gardeners around here. If it never blooms, I don't know how we can figure this out.
