The main thing? Every ache and pain is down to a dull roar and I feel better physically. School? I was so gung-ho that I ended up completed this week's doing assignment. Free day!!! I was so on target, the cases I found were exactly right. Not just free day, validation!!! The house? Ed's chomping at the bit to get the paint, the bathroom is fully unpacked, and I can find all of the stuff in the master bedroom. I asked Ed last night if he'd move the bar on the closet up a foot or so, but this morning I thought "Why don't I do it?". It'd require removing the wood holding the bar on (both sides), moving it up, leveling it, and putting the 4 nails back in. Duh. Think I will do it. And he showed me why the bathroom towel rack is falling down, so I can fix that too. This is very liberating! I've stood out of his way for fear of stepping on his toes, but now I'm showing him I can help. yea!

I'm a bit jealous. I STILL haven't seen a Gulf Frit in my yard this summer and I was sure with the early spring, that I would see some. Still plenty of time I guess.

Some real beauties in this group, including your seedling. I really enjoyed seeing your pic of Southern Dazzle. I bought it and shortly after I planted it, the fan split and put up a small scape, but the plant couldn't support it so I am waiting to see bloom on this one. I think the puppy was happy to be in out of the rain. Such adoring eyes! Ann

vacuumfreak - congratulations on your adoption! He's absolutely beautiful!! And congratulations on adopting a rescue . . . I believe they make the best companions. I'm very thankful for another year with my aging shelties and cat. It's been touch and go year for my male sheltie, but he's still here and still enjoying his life. My female sheltie has "grown up" and stepped into the role of "alpha" in our house. My beautiful snotty cat is still the little light in my life. She's absolutely hateful to anyone but "her" immediate family, but we adore her and wish others could see the lap-kitty side of her. But, after 17 years, I will assume that it's possible that everyone will always think of her as a little . . . snot. It's a wonderful day to be thankful for the little furry blessings that grace our homes and keep us company. Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
