There is no reason a real jeweler can't tell you a gold content of the ring with a simple test. From this test you can narrow down the likely country of origin. Given that it has a 750 on it, it's likely European (18k in the US. A piece with a 750 quality mark would also be qualified to have a makers mark on the piece. I also don't think it's too ancient. I collect antique jewelry and most often see higher gold content from my european antique pieces, plus significantly better quality in the pieces made over 100 years ago. An older european piece might not say 750 on it...but again, a jeweler can tell you what the content is easily. Even my older pieces, which are rougher in construction than a piece made say in the 1880's are all made with more detail than that piece. Celtic pieces with designs as simple as that wouldn't have had the 750 mark. Even pieces from the early 1700's and down into the 1600's would have more done on the workmanship side than that piece. This does not mean it's not a nice piece of jewelry. It has a high gold content, and it's a decent piece, I just would be pretty shocked to find out it's ancient. I'm guessing (as guessed above) that it's some sort of lodge piece (which would explain the rustic design and masculine styling) from anywhere from the 50's on. Personally, I'd never count on a museaum to date my jewelry. I'd count on a historical jeweler, but if I walked into our local museaum (a very nice museaum) they'd ask to do a display of my collection, but I'd bet you a billion bucks they could never identify the pieces individually. You need a jewelry expert for that. And even a great shop can't tell you much about a piece if they don't understand the basics of jewelry design over the centuries. Let me guess value....ok not specifically, but I'd guess it's worth it's weight in gold :oP Not much else given the workmanship (again it's nice but not spectacular given it was probably a lodge piece) but it's a very good quality gold if the mark is right and worth whatever 18k gold is trading for by the ounce lately :)

Moni, a friend was just talking about her granddaughter being a nanny in FL to a dr.'s kids. She is a college student. If I remember right, she is paid $12-13/hour. She picks the kids up from school, takes them to activites, shopping (the little girl is allowed to pick whatever she wants to do/buy). She has a debit card to use (her own) that she pays for everything with, keeping the receipts, then is reimbursed. She gives them baths and puts them to bed, ect. Reads to/with them,I forget how old the kids are, but I think just early grade school. Overtime is expected. Over night is expected when they are out of town. She grocery shops, tho my friend has no idea why, as they NEVER eat at home or cook! She did say the the kids were very well behaved everywhere they are taken. To me, that is way too much responsibility for that amount of pay. Tami

This was our trail/soccer/baseball field stroller. https://bumbleride.com/ I loved it. For travel/around town we had a City Mini, that had a smaller fold. We also had another stroller, a fixed wheel for running. You cannot run with a Bob Revolution or Indie, you need a fixed wheel if you run at a good clip because the front wheel that can lock or rotate will start to wiggle. On the flip side you want a rotating front wheel for daily use as the fixed wheel is a BEAST to steer. For carseats we have had Britax, Chicco, Graco, Dionos. I have to give it to the Chicco brand, I like their infant seat the best because it was much better ventilated than the others I found padding wise. We live in Florida and both my boys were spring babies. Diono Radians are great for a tight fit if you have other children. My issue with out Britax seat was the lower clip being extremely hard to release for adults and grandparents. Most of the strollers do offer carseat attachments. You just keep the base in the car/cars you are using and move the bucket part to the stroller. With my last baby, I didn't even use the attachment. I would take him out of the carseat and lay him in the stroller (the Indie has a flat (newborn safe) recline and clip him in. I went with this route again because Florida in June is HOT and this kept the air flowing better around him.

I have a $20 1x1 brand, which looks like the Leaf and RCA - just a notebook sized piece of flexible vinyl. It does have to sit in the window to get all of the local stations (because of the room site and where I want the TV in the room. Absolutely easy to connect and then have the TV scan for channels. MarilynC, you might like to have a Roku. No continuing fees beyond the initial purchase (anywhere from $25 and up, depending on the model - I have the cheapest and it meets all my needs.) Roku offers lots of free streaming channels, including news channels that would include Houston. Of course, they also offer other channels for a subscription price, which mostly run $5-6/month. Right now I am paying for Curiosity Stream and Acorn; for July & August I paid for Peacock Premium so that I could watch the Tour de France, The Tour of Spain, and some of the Olympics.
