Very interesting. It's better to buy from a regular store or from a known company like Amazon or whatever. It's all sort of sleazy, the infomercials are so fake, and they keep adding on free stuff. But I still might get the floor sweeper, but from BBB.

Thanks.

I called to order an infomercial product once. I ended up belonging to some off the wall travel club. I didn't ask for it. While I was on the phone, they tried to sell me a zillion other things, too. It took me forever to get it all straightened out. If you see something you like, buy it from a store or go online to the actual company. I would never deal with a TV ad again.

Thanks for the link. I only bought one item off the TV. Those darn little my reminders. If anyone would like one, let me know. I will send it to you for FREE! I could not find a way to reclaim my money, and they (6 of them) just sit here. Don't even ask how I ended up with 5, cause I don't know.

Moni, what are the my reminders? At my age, I can use all the help remembering I can get!

Jodi, a little plastic box, with a record and a play button.

Oh, I forgot... it also functions as a lousy flashlight. LOL

Problem is:

from the link below:
SOUND is terrible, and recording is worse. She has arthritis in her hands and can not write so this seemed like a good idea for grocery list since I shop for her. It will not let you record, stop, and continue. You can not add on or it will erase all of above. Not only that, the wire burned off the record button after only one month. You could smell the burnt smell. There is no customer service to be found anywhere. I am sure they have nothing but complaints coming back. The idea is great and if anyone knows where I could find a similar reliable product I would buy it for sure, but trust me, this is just a piece of junk.

Moni again:
But, since I have an abundance of them, I am glad to share. :)

Re: reminders....
My cell phone has a recording option...for a couple of minutes..you can leave yourself a message.
Check your's out. I don't know how common the option is.

Moni, I'll take one of your reminders and just leave it in the car so when I remember to get or do something, I can record it instead of writing it down.

If I wait to write it down once I stop the car, I have already forgotten not only what I wanted to write down, but usually the fact that I needed to write something down in the first place. sigh

Let me know what postage will be.

Jodi-

I bought a couple of the "real" digital recorders and they are SO handy! There's been a couple times I grabbed license plate numbers just in case and well, there's a bunch of uses. I leave one in the vehicle, clipped to the visor in a cellphone case so it's handy while driving and the other one in the house or I just carry it with me, in a cell case clipped to my belt. I too need to write things down or I forget. I even used it to record an old TV show guy and I put it on my answering machine for a Christmas greeting. One year I used Alvin and the Chipmunks. I like the recorders. Used to use microcasette tape recorders, but in the Minnesota winters, tapes damage easily. And when it's hot, whoa. With the digital, no problem. I think it was about $25 each (I bought them off the internet several years ago and they were reconditioned) so it wasn't much more than those toy things they sell on the infomercial. Target has one now for about $30 that will record 144 hours. About $20 more and you can get one that will let you transfer it to/from your PC. I might buy myself one of those.

Before that, (well, long before!) I used to call home quite often from work and leave myself a reminder on the answering machine. I could call the cell voicemail, but the recorder is far better. The nice thing about the digital recorders is they have "folders" you can separate the various messages, for instance, one for groceries or shopping, one for things to do, etc. You can add on to any message, some let you split messages, etc. One warning, if batteries totally die, you'll lose data.

Oh i'm very familiar with that Video Proffessor scumbag.I sent for the "free" video proffessor and was supposed to pay just for the S&H.which i did.The next month he had charged my bank card for another 49.95 ,yet he had sent me nothing.

I went to the bank and had it removed and got reimbursed.I had to fill out all these papers, then it took a few weeks to get my money back,I also notified the BBB about him.

Lesson learned very well!!!!

I hate infomercials!! DH loves them and I refuse to buy the stuff anymore. Haven't in years, got scammed once and won't do it again. I bought that grass seed that is supposed to grow anywhere...perfect grass I think it was called. DH had to have it....it was terrible. The blades were so frail and delicate, such a waste of $$. I told him never agian will I fall for that junk on TV.
