I just ordered one of these for next Christmas, but it could work with your colors since the green looks to be grayish on my monitor and the price is certainly good. I think tans and grays work together anyway. I suspect they look good together in your room, too, or you wouldn't be using the combination on walls and chairs.

That one is really pretty, but unfortunately, I've got to get one custom made because of the length of my table. It's oversized, and the standard table runners just don't look right. Not to mention, also having problems finding a rug to go underneath. Loved the thought of this huge table when we bought it, really rethinking it now. :)

I would look for a print that includes the colors of the chairs and the walls. Since you are having the runner made it shouldn't be that hard to find fabric that looks good in your room.

I understand. I either have to take a leaf or two out of ours or use that runner on the dropleaf table. Since you are having one made anyway, you could choose several materials and have a patchwork or ribbon style with the colors you need if you can't find one perfect material. Good luck.

Here's another way to think about table runners:
For a long table, instead of having one really long runner, try 2 "normal-size" ones, placed the OTHER way (like one-third in from each end).
Yes, it's not the traditional way, but it adds more interest, IMHO.

I wish I had thought of that when I bought my new runner at Christmas. My table is 10' long and the runner looks skimpy on it. Bet I cannot find another like it now. :(

My runner is goldish in color (in the same family as my dining room side chairs - although they look tan in this photo.) I realize (after seeing your post) that it does not match my host/hostess chairs. They have a grayish/tan tone, and no gold. Oh well!

I also could not find a rug large enough without having to pay a fortune, so we just have to make do.
