About that Ektorp Sofa from Ikea-Need an Owner's input

TheFoxesPad gave great feedback about the "dirt" issue she is experiencing with her sofa. But I want to know, how the sofa is holding up.

I know it's not a high priced item, but can someone give me feedback on how its shape is holding up, etc. Does it look frumpy? When I say frumpy, those Pottery Barn sofas start to look frumpy and always messy to me. Something that is not a desired look here.

The person interested wants to put it in a room that is sort of a family room, but one of the first rooms you see upon entering the home. Two young boys, who are not rough on stuff, but will the primary users of the furniture to watch TV. Other family members do sit there too. Currently the person has a very inexpensive sofa that is hated and fortunately has developed a manufacturer's defect and she can get a store credit. (which could be used on something other than a sofa).

So, would the Ektorp sofa and chairs work? I think she wants to go the Cote de Texas-look in this room: slips, seagrass, texture, etc.

Thanks.
