Floating or not?

I was going to try give you a scenario with pics but became to complicated...Any way here's a photo in a nutshell...This is the creek in park...the green on other side of pic is the other side of creek's shore (or little of it)

That table usually sits on this side of shore's bank...

The day before it was raining like this off and on and sometimes raining harder...of course this isn't the creek but the pond...

Yes it did flood...It was pretty awesome and cool...I think it made me a bit disoriented though...I kept telling my daughter I felt a little off...when we got to the bridge I positoned myself to take a few more photos after she handed me my keys and before I realizied it I heard a dangle and felt a slip from my fingers (I had them in my hands still) and down they fell clinking on the side of bridge and into the rushing water below...I, fully in disbelif at what I just did, yelled to my daughter 'I dropped my keys! She thought I was joking...after several seconds we began laughing...We couldn't get in the car either for it was locked...Good thing DH was getting home...we live about 8 miles from here...I told him well we wouldn't of gone hungry or thirsty cos we had everything we needed in the car(we did shopping and was on our way home)...he laughed and said "Yeah, if you could of gotten in"....It really was hilarious...
Here's the bridge...taken in Nov and not flooded...the ones I took this day didn't turn out very well...

Not without transition strips. The EASIEST thing to do is: install cabinets (make sure the bases are raised the same height as the thickness of the floor you are using) with an eye to making sure the appliances can fit underneath once the floor is installed. The FLOORS can (and should be) done last. You get all of your 'wet work' done (painting, cabinets, counter tops, tiling, etc) and THEN you float your floor in the house. This is the easiest way to do it. Done...like...dinner. And you did NOT have to change the form of installation. You floated the whole thing. Congratulations!

Have you spoken with the installer or anyone about fixing this? I would say the trim would definitely need to be pulled to lift and relay the floor.

Floating front porch? or concrete slab?

You have an existing roof overhang that defines the area below it. That dimension (maybe 3' overhang?) is too small for a usable porch, other than the bench you had in front of the window. So at that point, you would decide if you desire a larger "open-air" patio (whether wood, concrete, pavers, or more stone) that is located in the front yard, and how that may/may not tie into the sidewalk and pathway to the house. But it appears you have about a single 8" step up into the house, so that is not an optimal situation for a wood deck.

Good shots!
Hopefully you only had one key fall into the water.
Ones, when Ice fishing, my whole set of keys, house, shop 2 cars,.. you name it, fell into the hole to the bottom of the lake, luckily I could see the bottom and could fish it back out with a larger pike hook.
A good thing here was, it was a larger number of keys, that made it easy to fish it out!.....well, catched no
fish but a bunch of keys..LOL.
