What color accent wall goes well with Bleeker Beige?

We just painted 3 of the walls in our living room bleeker beige. We would like to add some color. We need to pick a color to paint the accent wall. Our last townhome had a grayish blue color which we really liked. We do not want the room to feel dark. A green, blue or a mixture of the two. What shade of benjamin moore paint colors go well with bleeker beige? Any input would really help! Thanks!

We narrowed down our house paint to bleeker beige and shaker beige. We ended up going with the shaker because after we did up a 2x3' sample in the bleeker, the tile brought out undertones in it we did not like. Bleeker is a cool neutral and tends to look different depending on what it is paired with.

Charlotte Slate is one of my favorite pairings with it. Kind of a greyish blue.

But as I said before, bleeker is a great neutral. Do you have any furniture or a rug or curtains or anything you love that you could pull inspiration from?

Just a sample of a couple of colors placed with it to show the variety. I think this was Largo Teal, Juniper, Magic Potion, and Wooded Vista.

Our whole main floor is Bleeker Beige but we have BM Van Courtland Blue on the ceilings in the dining room and living room which have vaulted ceilings. It is a gray blue with some greenish undertones. It definitely goes well together. We also have BM Clinton Brown in our kitchen which goes well with it. You can see both in this picture, though the coloring is a bit off as BB looks much pinker in this picture than it is in person.

The rooms in question are the kitchen/breakfast nook (10+ ft. ceiling w/ one 4X6 window in nook & open to vaulted hearth room w/ >120 SF of glass doors & windows) and the foyer (approx. 10 X 16, 2 story w/ dome above chandelier, two tall doors w/ glass inserts and an arched window in the balcony above.) I don't have blue WTs (the windows have wide plantation shutters painted to match the trim) or other accessories in those areas. The spaces are pretty much beige and tan, with a mix of dark woods and distressed/antiqued cream painted wood. My budget and time were both too limited to seek out original art, so I framed prints of my favorite Audubon birds and Winslow Homer river scenes; they have the blues I love. Guess I need to buy some samples and try several to see if they work. If not, I can always prime over those splotches and stick with the trim color. Thanks!

When you say you're looking for a complementary color, do you mean another paint color in the same room with the Bleeker Beige - i.e., one color above chair rail and one below, or just one wall painted another color? Or, are you talking about Bleeker Beige in one of his rooms, and a different color for his other room? Or, do you mean another color for fabrics, accents, etc? If you mean two paint colors that complement each other in the same room with that quilt, I think red always looks nice with navy and beige.

Yes, red is fine. But in my opinion the more concealed red is better than the splashy one, especially in a room this size. Make the red preferably in small accents as in: a pillow in a neutral colour with some red in it. Or like a green plant that blooms with red flowers. Variations of the same tones of red in more or less density is more lively than all the exact same tone. Besides that: such a red combines lovely with yellow. So if you do feel tempted to use yellow again, it would bring unity to the house. Both teal and turquoise are good possibilities too, but in such a small room I would rather go for the teal. Since teal is a less invasive colour, you can allow yourself more of it. Perhaps with a tiny streak of turquoise here and there in a picture or candle or whatever. Once again: teal goes well with yellow. The turquoise not so much though in my opinion. Do not become too bold. Curtains are very big. Neutral ones would fit in here better as to not dominate the room. You really think you need curtains though? Might make the room feel crowded.

That Van Courtland Blue is a very nice color!

I used Bleeker Beige in great room and Onondaga Clay 1204 (a deep rust color) in my dining room. It did a great job at pulling out my sage color fabric on oak dining room chairs as well as the rust colors sofa in living room.
