I was on the House Beautiful website yesterday and they have an article on favorite pinks used by designers. try looking there for suggestions. I think there were pictures. good luck. I love soft blush pink too. Good luck.

Here's what Alexa Hampton says about pink:
"When picking a pink, always go to the top of the card and get the palest version of what you're dreaming of, because even if it looks subtle on the chip, it won't be so subtle on the wall. And watch out  the brighter it gets, the more childlike it becomes."

Blan, my entire living & dining rooms are painted BM's Queen Anne Pink. While I've had some doubts at times regarding how smart it was to do these main areas of the house in pink, I've never doubted that this SHADE of pink was a good one. It is as neutral a pink as I could find, if that makes sense. Most people describe it as "blush." One friend who hates pink, insists that my walls are not pink, that they are "blush," which evidently makes all the difference in the world (she like the rooms). The color is warm & not the least bit bubble-gummy or powdery. I tried to post pics, as I have done many times here, but photo-bucket was not cooperating this a.m.! Good luck finding your shade.

F&B Ringwold Ground is definitely NOT pink! It's an off white with yellow undertone. If you want a sophisticated off white with undertone of pink, it's Dimity you want. But even then, it won't read as "pink".

Skimming Stone is NOT pink -- It's more of an off white w/ beige/grey undertone if you ask me.

There isn't a lot of pink in F&B palette. And I have tried all of them. :-)

Pink is all about the undertone -- you can have purplish pink bluish pink beigish pink greyish pink so if you have an inspirational pic, it would help finding the right color.

It seems cooler & more obviously pink than Queen Anne to me, but illustrates how pink can be used in a sophisticated manner, rather than be cutesy or nursery :

I painted our bathroom BM Opal -- one of the off-whites. A very pale, subtle pink. The tints in it are maroon, gray, and yellow (according to the guy at the store who mixed it up for me).

We also have Queen Anne Pink in another room that does not get much natural light. It's almost a beige. Nice color.

I like BM Old Country OC-76 too. It is a soft blush pink.

As long as it's a very pale pink, I love pink in living areas and don't find them babyish at all. An adult decor keeps that from happening and I find it to be a very nice backdrop for a lot of looks from sleek and sophisticated to traditional and homey.

Lots of good suggestions. I have all of the BM color decks and I have been busy checking out all the colors you all suggested. I would love to see a picture of Queen Anne Pink. It seems to be such a beautiful blush color. Also, thanks for the link to HB articles on the pinks, lots to consider there as well. Wow, now I am faced with too many choices. Hmm.

C2 "Secret"

There is a gorgeous cottage featured on p. 85 of the April 2009 Southern Living magazine that uses this color in a bedroom. The owner says that her entire color pallete was inspired by some gourmet marshmallows...yum...and the color looks very soothing.

I was considering cameo pink for our bath. It is from HD and is a RL.

Sg-Beautiful! About 15 years ago I painted our living room a rose color. Can't remember what I used. But it was very pretty in there. One day I had an upset stomach and got the Pepto-Bismal out, and I looked at the bottle, then my walls, held the bottle to my walls and it was a perfect match. lol So if I feel the need to paint a room pink again, I'll compare it to the PB color! heh.

It was very subtle and light rosey. I love "pink" rooms! I think most people are afraid to use the color in a public area, but IMO, it's one of the prettiest colors for LR's, etc.
