No guarantee, but flat Ultra-White will probable be the closest match.

Thnaks! Now to find someone who has some ceiling white paint so I don't have to buy a whole gallon just for this - lol! Or I will check at the Habitat re-store to see if anyone's donated some.

Some stores have Qts. of Ceiling-white. ACE's do...but call around first. Maybe some neighbor's do???

I used drywall joint compound, thinned with water. I dabbed it on with a sponge.

It took a few applications to fully cover the paint, but in the end it was a perfect match.

White shoe polish!

You can also get popcorn (acoustic) ceiling repair kits at the big box or most local hardware stores/paint centers. I've never used them so cant tell you about a close match, but you also have to figure that your existing ceiling has shaded a little with age.

I got it fixed! Lowes had quarts of the American Tradition ceiling paint for less than $8.00. It's that kind w/ the pink/purple color in it that dries white. I used some artists brushes and dabbed it on. I think the one coat's gonna work, but I need to look at it when I get home tonight to see if it needs more.

I had thought about using the patch stuff because I had bought a tube of it to cover where sone nails have popped through in my MBR ceiling, but a guy (pro painter) at church said not to. He said unless you're highly skilled that you can always see the patch.
