Need help asap paint mishap :0

Long story short. BM people kept telling me that I didn't need to use primer with Aura paint even on new construction, well we did. Paint store was closed so I went to Home Depot and got Behr's best primer. It kept gunking up the sprayer and finally quit when husband was half through with the master bedroom ceiling. Days later husband sprayed master ceiling with BM primer and then shot it with the ceiling paint. The half of the ceiling with Behr primer is shiny even after a coat of ceiling matte paint and a second coat of BM primer. What do I do, it looks terrible?

Did you re prime the whole ceiling with the BM primer?

Yes, we did. Sorry to be so hasty, the paint seems to have lost it's horrible shine today, so we are back in business. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I think black/charcoal trim will be too stark of a contrast. I would do the sage green that you posted above with the bottom "white" of your paint samples, which looks like the softest white...and closest to all of your inspirations.

Yes, the new paint forumulas, dry too fast, and cause streaking. They need to add floetrol to the paint, so it has a longer roll time. I went through that with a ceiling, until I used the floetrol. https://www.flood.com/products/paint-additives/floetrol-latex-based-paint-additive

I also like the white, but if you really want to have a contrasting color I'm picturing something the color of toast (yellow-gold-beige). I'm not familiar with Behr colors so I can't make an exact recommendation. As L.D. Johnson says, it does depend on what colors you have in rooms people can see when in this space.

In the future, if you didn't take this step, thin the primer 10% or what ever the manufacturer recommends and screen it through a filter before spraying. As mentioned above, go quality and stay away from behr crap!
