Help w/newbie question: Wood trim & primer & GARDZ

Hi,

So, while this might be a stupid question, I have to ask it so I can decide what to do next.

I'm removing wallpaper in a room that has a bay, and the previous owner had wrapped the wallpaper around a corner sticking into the room. When I removed the wallpaper, I saw that corner has a piece of wooden vertical trim that they had wallpapered over.

I washed the paste off the piece of wooden trim and sanded, and I want to paint the trim to match the rest of the trim in the room (baseboards, etc)

I got in a hurry one day and I completely forgot about using GARDZ as I do on the plaster walls to keep any residual paste from bubbling up, and I painted the sanded piece of trim with 123 primer.

Soooo,

- If I do a light sand and then paint over the 123primer with the GARDZ now, will that lock in any possible chance that any possible residual paste that was on the wood trim after I sanded it?

- Or should I completely sand off the 123primer, apply the GARDZ, and then paint the trim?

Thanks in advance and thanks for putting up with my newbie questions!
