This is going to be very nice. What about a soft very very pale grey that would match your quartz counters? Maybe the white backsplash would clash with the white cabinets if they're not the same. If you can find the right white that macthes the white of your cabinets that would be best. Good luck.

I love your quartz and would have it on the top of my list had I gone white with the cabinets. I'm still struggling with my backsplash so I'm not sure my opinion should count, but I thing a white backsplash would look great.

I would also like a pale grey over a white. A grey would set off your counters really well. A dusky rose, green or blue might be nice as well, but less neutral than a grey of course.

What about a marble? Also, what color is the stain on the floor? Is it lighter than walnut?

However, here is the thing- it's my hubby's favorite. That is not the issue, LOL, however, it's a glass tile. I DO wonder about the longevity of a glass tile- but at the same time think the pattern is classic enough that it will pull us through alot of years. I LOVE t, I am also just "worried" about the "cool" aspect of the color. But, at the same time I think I might be able to add the warmth in there with other materials.

What do you think about that tile??

I love the glass tile! I think subway is classic and the glass really goes with your kitchen. You have a warm floor and the white of your cabinets look pretty warm too. I can see this looking really great.

Okay, I think the more I see the pale gray the more I like it! Anyhow, what color grout? Bright white or something closer to the color of the tile?

chris-it is slightly lighter than a walnut... I'll have to look up the stain, I don't remember. :)

I love the grey glass- and I am not big on white kitchens, but I think all of your choices brought together will be stunning. I am not sure on the grout though, I am having my own struggles with that as well right now...:)

The grout color would depend if you wanted the subway pattern to pop, or be more muted. I think I would rather blend the grout color in with the tiles, it will be softer, however I can see it looking good with white,too. Decisions.....

spinmomnj- I think I agree. I am worried about the grout being "busy", in that case I'd guess that blending it would be better?

If you want to 'try out' the effects of different grouts, this is a handy site: Susan Jablon Mosaics. Here you will find a Custom Blend Tile Designer. I know she has a glass subway tile in a colour very similar to your tile. You can create a brick pattern and select several grout colours. Very light and very dark colours will make the brick pattern stand out more, colours similar to the tile give a more uniform appearance.

Dmwbcc, This helps because I have wood floors,(though mine are lighter) white cabinets and similar if not the same countertops. Good to hear about some options. I am not quite ready to tackle the backsplash yet, but will be following along on GW to get ideas.
What is your countertop material. Mine is Caesarstone Nougat.
