P.S. Our son had a limo shared with friends. Unfortunately it caught fire while picking up one of the friends! No one hurt and the other parents took the kids in.

You could dress Sydney in a gunny sack and she'd look gorgous, just like her mama! The dress will look so pretty on her - can't wait for the pictures I KNOW you will post!

The junior and senior years are very expensive. It doesn't get any better when they head off the college though. :-)

My DD went in with about 10 kids last year for a limo.. so it was really not very expensive at all.

if you are worried about her senior pictures, look into haveing a smaller studio do them (like sears or pennys). i work for sears and we do location stuff. we have a park down the street from our mall and fequently meet a customer there to take pictures. it certinately is cheaper doing it that way than if you go through a private studio. i'd contact some your local studios and ask. if her school has a certin (sp?) photographer they use for the year book picture maybe call them and see if you could just do the yearbook pic. might be something to look into and it'll save you some green stuff.

Back in the old days when I was a Senior in High School....the prom dresses were short that year...

Her's is a very pretty dress...but I like the long ones.

Our freshman, soph., and junior years they were still wearing long one...They just made me feel special...and the long gloves...

Also back in those old days when schools still had ROTC (reserved officers training core) we had Military Balls too...

Stacy, I see my DD, Pets, just snuck in! She gave you a great suggestion for senior pics. Syd will be beautiful in that dress, and I'm glad they are getting a limo.

Thanks everyone. I do know Pets that they do have a special studio take the pic for the yearbook so will see what we can do because I am not as thrilled with all their work. I have a friend that takes awesome pics and know that her prices are so much better and she would work great pics for Sydney. Last year Syds dress was long and I think that most of the girls are going long this year Patti but Syd wants to be different. I will see if I can pull a pic of her and her boyfriend off of her myspace page...if I can I will post it. He is a very nice polite young man he is just 15 year younger then her and works pt at the laundry in town....Stacy

I agree with looking into other places for the Sr. pics. I CANNOT believe some of the prices and packages some parents get!!! Caryn has been out 6 yrs. this spring...she had a friend here to the house that didn't know her then, and could hardly believe her Sr. pic was of her!!! (I met Dean 7 years after he graduated and I STILL can't see him in his graduation pic!!!)

I like it and I cannot wait until Syd models it for all of us!

She is beautiful, and so is the dress. I remember shopping for my older daughter's prom dress, two years ago. She was very picky, didn't like anything. I took her to a bridal shop and she picked out a lovely, floor-length white dress with a black sash. It had to be altered, but she looked beautiful. I told her I was saving the gown for her wedding, all we would have to do is remove the sash!

one of the kid's mom went to that sale in boston (wedding gown one) and bought her dd four dresses for each prom she was sure her dd would go to...(like bridesmaid dresses, lol)

No matter how long I live, even if I develop Alzheimer's, I will never be able to put out of my mind the terrible trauma of shopping for prom dresses for 2 daughters that went to every dance/prom known to mankind. Now, my oldest daughter is going through it w/ her 2 oldest girls and I just laugh and laugh and laugh.
