What's the premise of the show? I turned on the last half-hour last night but I was busy and didn't pay much attention. I gather the woman is a cop, yes? And Castle?

I tivoed it last week and last night. I watched last week's already. I really liked it.

Alisande, he is a mystery/crime writer and she's a cop. I have never heard of either of the actors, but I like them both.

Patti...you need to watch the movie "Waitress"...it's an excellent film he played in...He is easy on the eyes isn't he?!!!

I love the role he plays in "Castle"...

Where have I seen the women who plays his Mom? I swear she used to be on a soap opera my Mom and I watched!! I'm gonna have to google her!!

Liz- His Mom is Susan Sullivan. She's been on lots of current tv shows and had a big role on Falcon Crest years ago. I thought Castle was a little too light, but it shows promise and I hope it improves with the coming episodes.

I watched it last night for the first time and enjoyed it. And I totally agree with Liz... he is easy on the eyes that's for sure!

I watched both episodes, we agree we like it. Kind of funny, and not too gory!

I enjoyed "Castle" quite a bit. I like the interaction of the characters, and yes, he surely is easy on the eyes! Funny -- I just watched "Waitress" for the first time early last evening...that guy looked so familiar but I couldn't quite place him. Then I realized I'd seen the premiere of "Castle" last week.

The two stars were also on DWTS last night -- not so coincidental that their show was next.

The male star was the central character on a sci fi series a couple years ago called "Firefly". He was wonderful there too with a great sense of comedic timing. There was a followup movie to the series but it wouldn't make much sense if you didn't follow the show. They run marathons of it from time to time on the SciFi channel. If you like him, you should watch for it.

Well I liked it. I liked both the main characters. I thought their chemistry was really good. On the other hand. It is really starting to be "cop show" over kill out there. Don't the Hollywood writers have any other ideas?
Castle has a different story line, but it reminds me of The Mentalist, which I also really like. Cute flirty guy works with and interferes with lady police officer.

I saw "Waitress", he was so cute in that movie.

He's cute but can't compare to the Mentalist.

Susan Sullivan also played Dharma's MIL in Dharma & Greg. Years ago she was on "Another World" and I thought she was beautiful then and she still is.

Think the show is gonna be kind of neat. Told Twinkie that it combines two of my favorite things - crime shows and comedy!! LOL

I think it is so funny how we all see things differently...

I don't think the Mentalist guy is good looking at all.

Too true, pattico. I found the Mentalist guy to be quite cute and beguiling, but he doesn't have the sharp incisive wit and repartee that Castle seems to have after just two episodes.

I quite liked the scene where fairly early in the show he had several cops mesmerized by his literary riff on the potential story arc of the homicide, realistic or not. He was being "the author" in that moment. A good bit of writing, and acted out fairly well for just the second episode in a new series.

I love that show. I tivo-ed it's premiere and have it on season-record. I've never heard of either of them, but I like their chemistry!

I forgot to mention, I'm thrilled with almost any show that involves a script, and good acting. There are way too many "reality" shows on and I detest them.
