We are building a new house and have had to do lots of choosing which is a good thing but a bit overwhelming.

Concerning paint, how do you choose between oil base or latex? I like high gloss trim (I've used oil base high gloss before but it does yellow) because it wipes off so easily. But what do I want for the walls? flat, eggshell, semigloss? My small children are grown and gone so I don't need to scrub artwork off the walls anymore.

There are so many choices. What have you used? and are you happy with it?
