I researched tilting mirrors for a while, then decided against. Gatco makes a couple different styles and sizes. They don't sell direct, so get the exact model number off the Gatco site, then shop by the model number.

The walmart.com website has several as well.

A discussion on this forum made me decide against the tilting mirror. If the mirror faces you as you walk in the room, they are fine. But if the mirror is on the side wall as you walk in, you see the tilt mechanism and the wall behind the mirror - not as nice an effect. And the tilt mechanism pitches the mirror forward affecting the above the mirror lighting placement.

I like mine - good for the kids - DD loves to look at herself. I found them at Lowes a couple of years ago, liked them so much I bought 2 more in Delta Victorian line for master bath (hope to finish this year).

More from the side - the bar in the back isn't that bad looking. Not a problem with lights.

I also have one like ajsmama recently for our downstairs bathroom. It was less than $100, but I can't remember where I got it, sorry.

I don't recall the brand these were (DecoLav?) but they were about $68 each, and each one came with a glass shelf that I have not put up. Those might not be available any more though. Just did a search on Lowes for oval mirrors, they have a few tilting ones under $100.

I like the tilting mirrors! I'm really out of the loop since I didn't even know there was such a thing as a tilting bathroom wall mirror. When I built 1 year ago, I had purchased mirrors at an antique shop in NC while visiting my son, 3 years prior to building. At that time I *didn't* even know if/when I would be building. Guess it was in the cards. ;o)

I have to agree with graywings. DIL put one in her previous home and after a few years it would only tilt downward. There was no way to adjust the tilt mechanism , or at least it wouldn't hold when we tightened it. Drove me crazy!`

Thank you everyone for your responses. I especially like ones for RH and had never thought to check there.

Fortunately our viewing of the mirrors will be straight on so concern about viewing a wall behind will not be an issue. And, the lighting is sufficiently above and bright that I do not believe it will be blocked. I'll be certain to carefully look over the adjusting mechanisms - probably the more pricy ones work better.

There are several on Overstock.com, but they are all 21 inches wide. Don't know if you can spare the extra 3" (6" total) or not, but I thought I'd mention it.
