Okay, now here is a slight hijack for all of you lovers of green. Being a "green person" I painted my kitchen BM Saybrook Sage several years ago. I love it and so does DH (he said he was surprised at how much he likes it). I painted the cabinets a creamy white (BM Lily of the Valley) and like that with the green. Problem is that we have two and sometimes three large long-haired dogs who sometimes get past us when they are wet and shake. We also have 60-something eyes that often miss drips or dirt on the cabinets unless I put on my glasses and look carefully. DH doesn't even bother to look! Now, I am not saying I won't be cleaning, but I do want to avoid that moment of horror that I occasionally get if someone drops by and then I notice drips or something after they go and wonder what they thought if they noticed the mess. So, does anyone have any ideas of a shade I could paint the lower cabinets that would work with the sage and with the upper cabinets which will stay white (dark kitchen when lights aren't on during the day). Thanks and feel free to ignore me if you think I should start a new thread. Just seemed that with all of us loving green, this would be a good time!

Am I understanding it correctly that the problem with the original concrete porch was caused by water? If so, has the water/ drainage situation been fixed? Since you’re selling that wouldn’t be your problem anymore....unless the buyers have an inspector who starts investigating why there’s a new porch. We‘re getting ready to tackle (or rather pay landscapers to tackle) a drainage problem on our lot so I know how expensive drainage and concrete work is. I’m not saying you should pursue this route; you may be able to sell the house with a new pressure treated deck. But if you’re going to be filling out seller disclosures and if the property gets inspected this might all become relevant.

Thank you for the suggestions. @George - yes the house is a bit of a circus! It was built in the 80's and at one time was a nice looking A frame with a covered deck across the front. It looked cute back then. Since then the previous owner filled in half the deck upstairs and down giving it a weird look. Even worse is that they worked around the existing support posts when they installed the new windows on the extension so one window is larger than the other. Lots of work to do down the road but we just recently bought it as a summer home so for now will try to hide some flaws with a paint job.
